Wife got called to HR at work yesterday. HR person told her as of today you are a full time 40hr a week employee. Then they filled out the forms for health insuance. She got their top plan BCBS Plus. Presciptions, dental, and vision. Max $10 copay most $5. With her kidney problem this is a blessing. She pays like $35 a week. Last month for blood work one MD visit, and prescriptions we shelled out over $600. Coverage starts Feb 1 next MD visit Feb 2 Scripts refill at end of Feb.

At one time my meds were over 1500 a month. Most drug company's have a plan where you can get your meds for free if you show that the cost is more than your income will allow, check it out. Lucky she is hopefully covered, may help someone. Prescription assistance program is what the drug companys call this assistance.

And two weeks later she goes full time with bennys. Coincidence? I think not. I'm not gonna get in a peeing match with you. I have my beliefs and you have yours. Those drug company's by offering help should be able to do this for everyone but as we all know it is all about the money. While talking to my pharmacist he showed me the actual cost of the drugs and then the retail charged and it is enough to make you sick. Some cost only penny's yet the insane amounts for the patient who has ot have the drugs. Just another day in the life and times of the rich both individuals and company's.

DAWG you want to see something that'll make you sick. There's a drug they give cancer patients a months prescription is $200. You can go to Agway and buy the same drug for $4. All you have to do is figure out the milligrams per gram simple math. You can get a lot of antibiotics the same way. Dairy farmers, horsemen, and etc don't call a vet everytime they have a sick animal. I watched a farmhand take a liter IV bag of hypersaline stick an 18ga needle in a cows jugular and let the bag run out. The cow wasn't drinking two minutes after she was gulping water. As to the quality of drugs found at Agway or similar farm suppliers. They're made by the same companies in the same labs as the human counterparts.

Its like do you know how much it costs to manufacture a $20,000 car? About $5000
