as we know this Monday Obama will be standing before American's and swear to uphold the United States constitution at his second inauguration. ( BUT ) will he? hell no. he and his anti-gun pals are scheming to shred it. he has announced 23 anti-gun initiatives, even going so far as to use executive orders to bypass our gun rights and our constitution. we must not let them get away with it. i strongly urge everyone who loves their shooting sports to call and or write their state senator and let your voice be heard that we will not tolerate his actions. the worst of his schemes center around banning all guns that look scary, hell they all look scary if your looking down the bore. yes fellow sportsman and gals, he wants our guns and to destroy our constitution and is hell bent on doing so. so lets all pull together and stand our ground for what we now have before we lose it.

Do you really think firearms SHOULD BE OWNED BY All? What about that fool that brougth the loaded shotgun to the Dixie Firearms Classic. It hurt fellow gun owners. I think there is no problem with background checks. Too bad we can't have a test for owner smarts! I know I can handle guns. I am not sure about others intentions. |

dp54, have no idea who, what, when, or where the Dixie Firearms Classic is, and no idea what some individual might have done. The problem isn't with background checks, hell, we've had those for years! The problem is with Obama's blatant disregard for the Constitutional process, and his penchant for issuing Executive Orders, which leaves room to question what information and how will it be gathered if background checks are expanded. One of his EOs was overriding a provision of his own health care bill which kept medical records protected information, which in itself is an unconstitutional action. He doesn't have authority to make laws, or to amend existing laws. One of the proposed changes that has been suggested for background checks is interviewing your neighbors, and associates, in order to determine if you should have the right to own a gun! So, hopefully if this gets passed, you've never managed to piss off anyone whom you work with or live near!!!!!!!! |

The " new " backgorund checks are nothing but a new way to identify the owners and their locations period. If you suggest that even one of the things they are trying to implement then you are part of the problem. The BATFE have been going to all the gun dealers ( they will get to yours ) and making xrex copies of the form 4473's and this is being done for the owners and their addresses and if you think otherwise then again you are apart of the problem. Every single item is nothing more than gathering info for the government to establish an owners list and nothing more. We already have enough existing gun laws that IF enforced it would accomplish their goals but they want more to make it easier as they have government jobs don't you realize ???
PS: I should have said that the info from the background checks already done is being kept somewhere, by somebody even though they are not supposed to be kept. Just look at the things that have been and are being done and it should be proof of this. |

My brother was telling me about the incidents at the three gun shows this past weekend. I'm sorry, but damn if that doesn't sound like some planned incidents, considering the timing! |

I've been thinking the same thing about some other shooting incidents lately. Their timing and/or choice of firearm just seem too convenient. |

I've had thoughts about this also. And what about the shooters committing suicide? They were one brick short of a full load, IMO, BUT, if they did it for the fame and fortune,i.e., books and movies, don't you think they would TRY to live long enough for their 15 mins.? One was found in a stairwell(?). If suicide was part of the plan, why hide in a stairwell to do it? Seems to me like someone wanted to save paperwork filling out all those reports. On second thought, maybe this way did save some taxpayer's taxes. Or maybe they were too afraid to "shoot it out OK CORRAL style" with da man. Strange world out there. |

well, the old saying is "out of my cold dead hands" Still stands for me and a lot of the older folks I know. I'm 77 so it doesn't really matter to me, but for the younger hunter and gunowners, I will still stand up |

As Allen says, I'm in the Autumn of my years. I turned 68 this month, so I (think) I can live through this gun battle storm. What worries me is the future for the younger folks. My granddaughter has been hunting with me since she was 11 yrs. old. She is 17 now and has taken 3 deer so far. I want my gun collection to go to her. The politicians have NO ClUE as what they are doing to this country when they talk about taking ours guns from our Children!!!! I got one response from one of my Senators who says he understands, and will continue to support the 2nd amendment and support gunowner's right. Time will tell. |

It is time for your personal decision , either to go along with the new rules or not. Maybe one should give the guns to their children now, so they can have them. For those that go the other way maybe you should band together with your neighbors and take your guns to ground. what ever happens one person alone means nothing but many in the hit and run tactical units worked all over the world, Look at Veit Nam, Iraq, Afganishtan . etc And for those that use the dead cold hands please remember a tank doesn't know your wife and kids from you. Please also remember everything you say on the net will be used by the Gov. Time to plan for yourself, they are after your guns completely, register then remove , happened before. Many sheriffs are rebelling and they are the highest law enforcement in your county. They out rank the feds.in their county. But what ever happens do NOT wear camo, blend in, save the camo for being out in the woods. Sorry about the spelling but I'm pissed. MY answer to them is SORRY but my guns were taken by a fed that was on his way to Mexico. LOL |

Right now, is an excellent time to upgrade your membership in the NRA. If you are a regular member, you can become a life member at less than 1/3rd of the normal cost. Yesterday, I converted Travis' junior membership to a life membership for only $300.00. Think about it, he just turned 16 on Jan. 10th, and is now a life member of the number one gun rights organization in the country and the world. The magazine subscription alone, will more than pay the cost of his membership and when he gets up in age he can point to many years of membership in an organization that actually fights for our rights. If you aren't a member, please join. If you are an annual member, please upgrade to Life. If you have children and grandchildren, please consider giving them a membership..........it's money well spent, and especially now with the tremendous savings incentive!!!!!! |

Our right to free speech was already stomped on when John Skerry ran for president. If you remember right. They went to the courts and had an injunction ordered that nobody could talk smack about skerry if they were connected to the NRA. Well, that takes in probably 75 to 80% of the gun owners. Maybe more. At the same time. Skerry was running a smear campaign against Bush. Now, they are trying everything they can to take our guns. Obama is a dictator in the white house where the president should be. If congress says no. Then, he side steps them by issuing an executive order.Congress should have the right to veto executive orders if they aren't in the best interest of the country. The next step will be getting rid of the 1st amendment of free speach. Maybe that would get the media's attention. What needs to be done is. The squeeky wheel needs to be greased. If we weren't mostly blue collar workers that had to work to keep a roof over our heads and food in the house. We should make a march on Washington and have a demonstration just like those people who don't have any responsiblities do. |
