If you try what I posted.  Check your reloading manual real close.  This load gives a little higher velocity than most of the others do.  Make sure that the manual says that a small rifle magnum primer may be used.

Me too.  My 223 is actually a 222 that has been rechambered.  I have always had great results using the 748.  Never have used anything else.  I live by.  If it works.  Don't fix it.
