I would like to know what the best powder to use for 223 semi auto. for a 55grain or a 60 grain bullet |

TAC would be my first grab. Just about any powder in the proper burn rate will work fine. I've used H335 and am now using TAC. I've also loaded IMR 4895 and Reloder 7. With a semi-auto, I'd probaby stay away from H335 since it tends to be a bit on the dirty side. |

While I don't have any semiauto centerfire rifles, I have had very good results in 223 with Accurate 2230. I believe it was originally developed for the 5.56 for the Israelis.
Ramshot X-terminator is almost identical. My most accurate load for the Nosler 60 Gr partition uses Accurate 2460. |

H-335 is a good choice for 50 to 62 grain bullets but if you work your loads up in cooler weather you may run into pressure problems if using the same loads in summer. I would recommend VV N133 and my second choice would be Varget.

Now dwiseler1, ya really knew better then to ask that question, but ya just had to do it!! If ya was to buy everybodys favorite powder, ya would never hurt for powder again!(a good thing)
Ya know fast*eddie, it kinda looks like judeninPa just might like H-335!! Wachya think? Maybe a hogdons sales rep.??
I also prefer Accurate Arms powder, but, I have developed my favorite load arounf AA2520. I only use a 60 gr. bullet, preferable Sierra varmiters.
