me either Deice. He77 - they used to close our schools the first day of deer season. They tried to keep them open once but no one showed up. I think they still do that but I'd have to check with my nieces and nephews to be sure.

Play army, cowboys and Indians, etc - SOP!

I fear this country is really on the verge of exploding...

PC and Zero Tolerance are a form of repression to the freedom of speech and expression. They are telling you what you can and can not say and do. First use shame to spread their BS, then as more people join the PC band, then add zero tolerance for it, shame any one who disagrees, before long they are looking for laws to ban it with stiff punishments for it. I watch Schindlers List last night. When you think about all that happened during that time and how the German poeple and the Jews excepted it all. It is amazeing how so many people can be fooled, even right up to the point the bullet hits the brain.

Classmates Given Toy Guns on Islamic Holiday!
    Posted: 27 Feb 2013 at 12:12am
A tale of two students. One holds up a slice of pizza during lunch, other students think it resembles a gun. Student gets lectured and six days of silent lunch, outcast like a pariah of society. The other hands out realistic toy guns for a classroom celebration of the islamic holiday Eid al-Adha. Nothing is done, the School's "Zero Tolerance" policy does not allow them to address toy guns! Pizza guns well they can punish the hell outa of ya if your an American Christian, but if your a muslim, hell we will let you hand the damn things out!!!! This was in Murfeesboro, TN at the same School. Did I mention that they just built a really nice mosque there and that the kid giving away toy guns was a muslim. Not to mention they are not allowed to say "one Nation under God" but they can celebrate islam. This is the islamification of America. Jihad johnnie and the koranimals hand out toy guns, while a little white Christian girl who mentioned playing with a Hello Kitty bubble gun gets expelled just for saying the name. At some point you gotta say WTF is going on????

Muslim Child Gives Classmates Toy Guns on Islamic Holiday

A Tennessee school district is amending its zero tolerance policy after a Muslim student gave classmates toy guns to mark the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha. The Rutherford County School Board is expected to address the issue tonight, spokesman James Evans told Fox News.

The controversy started at the end of October when the parents of a Muslim student sent gift bags that were given to the child’s classmates at Barfield Elementary School in Murfreesboro.

“There was nothing religious in the bags,” Evans told Fox News. “The bags were gender-specific. The girls received necklaces and Barbie dolls.” But some of the bags distributed to the boys included a realistic toy gun.

“The teacher was not aware of that when she passed them out,” Evans said.

The parents of a child who received one of the toy guns became alarmed and notified the school.

“The parents claim they are not upset because it was a Muslim student,” he said. “It was because it was a toy gun.”

The Muslim child was not punished because Tennessee’s zero-tolerance statute does not address toy weapons. School officials are in the process of amending their local policy to give principals more discretion.

But some parents and community residents are also concerned about why students were allowed to celebrate Eid al-Adha in the classroom.

“It was a celebration in a public school of an Islamic holiday,” local blogger Cathy Hinnerstold Fox News. “What it comes down to is the proselytizing of Islam.”

And some in the community are alleging there’s a double standard. Last December another student in the district was punished for a gun-shaped pizza incident.

The boy had chewed his pizza into the shape of a gun and then pretended to shoot other students at the table with his pizza-shaped weapon. When he was confronted by a teacher about the issue he allegedly lied.

“Some people are trying to draw a comparison saying we punished one for a pizza-shaped gun and not for an actual toy gun,” he said.

Evans said the student was punished for lying – not for chewing his pizza into the shape of a gun.

Rutherford County has been the center of a long-simmering debateover the construction of a mosque. Evans believes that might have something to do with the classroom incident.

“There’s a lot of passion down in this community right now – especially because of the Muslim debate that’s been going on for a few years,” Evans said. “We think this is probably fueling some of this. We’re not saying anyone is right or wrong – we’re just trying to educate students.”

But Hinners believes Muslims are being given special access to the county’s public schools.

“It’s not anti-Muslim,” she said. ‘It’s not anti-Islam. This is not the premise here. It is the Sharia-law problem – how the accommodations are being sought just for the Islamic community.”

Evans said school policy allows for the celebration of all religious holidays – including Good Friday. Muslims, he said, are not getting preferential treatment.

Hinners also wondered about the toy guns. She said 10 students received guns. The school system said only two people received the toy weapons.

“What was the message of sending in a toy gun,” she wondered.

'Pop Tart Gun Freedom Act' introduced in Maryland

Images A Maryland state senator has crafted a bill to curb the zeal of public school officials who are tempted to suspend students as young as kindergarten for having things — or talking about things, or eating things — that represent guns, but aren’t actually anything like real guns. Sen. J. B. Jennings, a Republican who represents Baltimore Harford Counties, introduced “The Reasonable School Discipline Act of 2013″ on Thursday, reports The Star Democrat. “We really need to re-evaluate how kids are punished,” Jennings said.

I remember as a kid a friend of mine had a couple of really cool toy guns. One was a simulated M16 that when you pulled the lever back and pulled the trigger it made a simulated fully auto firing sound. The other was a scoped rifle called the crackfire, when you pulled the bolt back and fired it would make a cool ricochet sound. We also had pee shooters that fired actual peas(dry) or the rubber peas, the rubber peas were too expensive compared to a bag of dry peas from the grocery store.

Thinking about all the war games we played as kids, by today's PC standards we would have been put into psychiatric care for life!!! But damn did we ever have fun... It's hard to believe that our current Sheriff, who is anti CCW, saw it fit to issue me a CCW... Go figure... Especially considering that as a child I shot my friends hundreds, if not thousands of times with my projectile firing pea shooters!!!

BTW... Neither I nor any of my friends grew up to be murderers, in fact none of us has ever spent time in jail for anything... Well except for the night in 1988 that I spent in the drunk tank after I got my DUI

As we got older we also had wrist rockets, and made our own homemade bows, both of which actually could have killed someone, none of us ever shot them at a human being.

Hell, kids can't even say cowboys and "indians" anymore let alone play it, or war. Good thing I grew up when I did or my dads current wife would have succeeded in getting me declared incorrigible, instead of getting chewed out by the judge, while I sat there laughing. Frigging winch anyhow.

When we were really young my sister and I used to play with two brothers. On his birthday the older brother got a toy that attached to the handle bars of his bike. It had a pull handle, and a switch. When switched one way when you pulled the handle it made the sound of a siren, when switched the other way it made the sound of a Harley. We used to ride around playing "Cops and Hells Angels... I wonder how that would go over today?

Probably about as well as cowboys and injuns Ld. Oh, and I forgot to mention in the previous post, but I was fortunate enough to have one of those noise making M16 look a likes. Brought a smile to my face when I read that and remembered it. I never had the ricochet one but remember them too, as a kid down the street (who was usually the injun) had one.

My friends and I used to take 3 ft long pieces of 1x1 tie rubber bands to one and that would have a pocket attached at the other. We would screw a pinch clothespin at the other end and make rifle sling shots. We were called little terrors... but now kids would be called terrorists!!!

I'll bet they had other names for you too!!
"The BIG Lie" The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:[5][6] His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]

I had been call a hellyon a few times .Does that count .Had a play gun that use to pop real loud when you shot it .And found if you put a drop of oil in it it doubled the sound .And the kid down the street had that gun that sounded like a machine gun .Boy did we make a lot of noise in the area .There was about 10 of us that had cap guns as well .Use to buy the caps at the 5#dime for 5cents .And use to make sling shots and bows and arrows .And yes they would kill as we did kill rabbits with them .Kids would be put on some kind of dope if they did some things we use to do .
