I read something that Tom sent out yesterday in an e-mail, about (was it in Ct. or Vt.?) where the cops can walk in and confiscate an individual's guns based on an allegation made by another party that the gun owner had indicated they would do themselves or others harm. This is scary as hell!!! As I read it I wondered how many times an angry neighbor or ex has called the cops and filed a false complaint that resulted in this gestapo action!!!!!!!!!!!

That was in CT and they have taken about 2000 guns .When they are cleared they have to return the guns .If I remember right they have only kept about 10 guns overall as the rest had to be returned .

Regardless of the numbers, the fact that such gestapo tactics are deemed legal is in itself criminal.

And how much money did these gun owners have to pay lawyers to get their guns back? Perhaps this is the idea to start with. Make you pay through the nose to excercise your gun rights, any time they want you to.

You got that right VJP. They have misguilded ideas, opinions of guns causeing a fear and hate guns. Fear and hate are both emotions and somthing like sandy hook makes those emotions even worse, to the point of ignoreing any other real cause of such evens. They do not care how they get rid of the thing they fear and hate, just get rid of it. It is no differant than the fear of all snakes, spiders,rats, hieghts even the dark. That fear is real to them, and nothing short of moveing that object or thing will quite that fear. The question is how do they control that fear. Now there are fear mongers on both sides. But knowing those who fear guns will not be satisfied until there are no more guns, does give some jusification the the pro-gun sides fears.

Fear of snakes and spiders can be justified!!!!! Fear of snakes is one of the reasons gun rights shouldn't be fugged with!!!!!

Don't worry RT4. They will probably let you keep a single shot .410 in the long run.....but that's about it!
