I was putting my shotgun away for the year (I hunt in a slug gun only area) and noticed that my slug barrel for my 870 has a small Scratch at the end of the barrel.  It is pretty small but I can feel it with my finger.  It is right on the end almost directly underneath the front sight.  it sort of wraps around the outside of the end of the muzzle towards the inside of the barrel.  It is literally on the end almost like someone tried to cut the barrel like a tube, but just scored it instead of cutting it.

I am wondering what if anything should I do about it, and about how much would you think it would cost to fix it if it can be fixed. thanks

Thats the plan unless it is going to have a negative affect on the accuracy of the gun. Its a slug gun so it needs all the help in can get in the accuracy department . But as long as nobody who knows more about guns than me (which is almost anyone who knows anything beyond cleaning them) tells me otherwise it will just stay a beauty mark.

I tend to agree, but would suggest contacting Shiloh for an expert opinion.
