I just saw this new product the BowMag arrowhead that delivers a .38 or .357 bullet or bird shot from the arrowhead upon impact. You have got to see this video in order to get it.

My questions are plenty. But here are 3 to get us started:

- What is happening during your hunt that you need to deliver a bullet on impact? This is not going to make you more accurate and might make you worse.
- What does this do to hunting laws?  In Indiana we are allowed to use fixed head and expanding broadheads. Which is this or is it even legal?
- The bird shot version just seem rediculous. Why would I put all of that shot in an animal that would have been cleanly killed by a broadhead?  Again... Not more accurate, maybe less.

This just seems like a very narrow use case, but maybe a particular type of bear or pig that you want to put down fast with a head shot.  But then again why not just take your gun if the archery hunting laws aren't modified? What are your thoughts?  Anyone use them yet?

This aint new... reason for CT having min cutting diameters and "no Explosive or impact generated projectils" it's a gimmick as it was before...just kinda wonder what it does to the arrow on impact...  .357 mag generates a bunch of pressure...impressive, the chit that leaks outta some peoples heads, aint it...

I am not sure I would even want to use that .357 with a bow, if I don't have the confidence to take down the animal with an arrow should of done some more practicing...seems like a worse case scenario if you ask me.

Could it be more for the dangerous game animals like bear or boar? I think it would make taking boar at least SOMEWHAT easier being able to aim for the head instead of going for the heart which I've heard is a harder shot on hogs than on deer. But what do I know, I'm still new at this.

If it's meant to be used on boar then I don't see any real issue with it so long as the archer is accurate and there is a means to practice safely with that head.

A flying "Bang Stick", wow. Never had thought of such an item for hunting, always thought it was for effect in some of the movies (lots o BANG) in them.
I think states who don't already have laws forbiding explosive devices may consider them now.
And I agree, the bullet made more sense than the shot cartridge, sure would mess up a lot less meat. A 38 special would probobly work as well.

What a joke! I would rather risk a large broadhead than a little 38 hole. That justs spells trouble. Besides, like was stated earlier, you are BOW HUNTING not gun hunting.

Well if you think about it, it's still hunting with a bow, just with a bullet on the end of an arrow instead of a broadhead.

You might wanna check your local bowhunting laws. I live in Maryland where it is illegal to use any kind of explodeing broadhead. And I think it is unethical you might as well use a rifle

Not legal in Ohio, But I think that the shot filled version would work a lot like a Glazer Safety Slug and those guys are LETHAL
