OK call me stupid but I cannot find black powder in the southwest Ohio area. The Bass Pro quit selling it and none of the gun store will carry it. I would like some 3F preferably Goex but would settle for Swiss or other brands. No I don't want Pyrapoop. I will use the 3F in my .50 cal percussion, .54 Percussion and my .32 flinter. I can and have use 2F in the big bores, but like 3F. I use 777 in my inline, but hate Pyrodex. Don't send me any hate, as that is just my preference, just like I prefer women. Cannot find it online without ordering 5 lbs min. Anyone know of anyone who sell it in the area.

Sorry I do not have a ready answer for you but do sympathize with your delema. I too use real bp exclusivly but living in PA most shops have it. We have a special late season flintlock season so there is a market. Many shops don't carry it because of the storage rules are different than for the substitutes. There is also a hazmat charge on the shipping of it which sort of confuses me as I have not heard of any accident involving real bp. I would bet that few sales, unique storage requirements, and the added hazmat charge is the main reason for nonavailability. You might check in a nearby state to see if they have a season for those rifles that use real bp and you may hit paydirt.

I buy in bulk here. You may be able to go in with a few guys and split the costs of a bulk order. Or, like me, you can buy a bulk order, keep what you want, and up the price of each can you do not want by enough to cover the cost of what you keep and sell it to others so you shoot for free. ;-)

The Log Cabin in Lodi Ohio has what you are lookig for. Their phone number is 800-837-1082 or 330-948-1082. If you have never been to their store it would be worth the trip. Call and ask them to send you a catologe.
