Planned Parenthood is not an abortion agency, just as an AR-15 is not an assault weapon! Once again the folks who are anti-abortion are using the same tactics that the anti-gunners use to disparage something they don't politically/morally agree with. The actual goal and emphasize of PP is to provide proper medical help and advice to women, and not just in the case of pregnancies. They are also instrumental in cancer screenings, mental health issues, and of course birth control. They also are instrumental in helping adoption agencies place unwanted babies into homes where for whatever reason having a child isn't possible.

Now, should they receive Federal funds or not, IS a valid concern; but to use false information and outright lies about their purpose isn't any more appropriate than using school shootings for banning semi-automatic guns!!!!!!

I happen to support a woman's right to an abortion, just as much as I support my right to own and carry a gun of whatever design I wish. I also support the death penalty and I always wonder why some folks think one is wrong and the other is right. To me, a fetus is not a person when it's still in the first trimester......which is when over 90% of abortions are done.

RT if pp does not IN fact not condone abortion I stand corrected.the article called them an abortion provider and that is where my statement was directed.as to the hypocrisy of abortion vs death penalty.I believe even a GODLESS heathen such as yourself(pardon me if I offend just couldn't resist the jab) is capable of seeing the difference in the murder of a child  who has done no one any harm and the justice of ending the life of someonewho has done much harm and if given the opportunity would likely do it again.as to supporting a womens right to chose, so do I.GOD gave us the right to free will and the choice between good and evil, how can I do less. but just because I support that right does not mean I have to agree with that choice.to adress your belief that an unborn child is a fetus and not a child, I SAY, potatoes ,patatoes. but I realize  could never change your mind on that and would not try, whatever helps you sleep at night.that will have to remain between you and your maker.JMHO

yote, I didn't state they don't condone abortion, just that they are not an abortion agency. Like I said, I condone abortion, but I'm not affiliated with an abortion agency, either. As for murder of a child, I can't see a first trimester fetus as being a child, and I don't see capital punishment as being murder committed by the state. See, I also think it's odd that so many of the pro-abortion people are also anti-capital punishment, just as the pro-execution folks are anti-abortion. Aren't both views slightly conflicted?

The entire point of my post on this was to point out that in this particular case, the right wing conservatives are just as guilty of misdirection and spreading false information about PP, as the left wing liberals are with their lies about the so called "assault weapons"! I hope everyone gets the correlation.
