This turning away from our Great Lord God began with s single mother who is an athiest and sued to school system saying making her daughter say the Lord's Prayer was wrong and the school caved and stopped the praying. From that one case many more athiest did the same yet today that first mother's daughter is a Christian so it was more for the mother then her daughter. Then they started with all the different lawsuits about The Lord's Prayer, The Ten Commandments. etc etc etc of anything religous and we jst kept letting them get away with it and we now see where that has gotten us. It is time for the majority to once again rule and stop letting the moniority tellus what we can and can't do. If it takes lawsuits to accomplish this so be it but if WE THE PEOPLE stand united and demand that this be stopped and things returned to the way it was from our beginning it will be the start of getting our nation back on track of where we need it to be. Amen !!!!! |

If we have true separation of church and state, why do the a..holes in washington get Easter and Christmas off? Do away with separation of church and state and we will start seeing an improvement in the kids. |

That was very well and thoughtfully done. And they talk of separation of church and state but the constitution says freedom of religion, not freedom from religion. It does not say that if you don't like X-brand of religion, that no one can have it.
The phrase "under god" may only have been added to the pledge of allegiance in 1938 but the reverence for god is found in the national anthem, in the second verse, which I only heard for the first time---yesterday and I am 66. |

The first amendment states.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof".
It would seem as though in many regions the latter part of this has been misinterpreted.
