Illinois has had a ban on handgun ownership for over three decades and continually ranks highest in its gun violence and homicide rates. It has one of the strictest gun laws in the nation.  Reminds you of DC, which also has one of the highest homicide rates.

Good read on the Supreme court ruling that just overturned the IL gun ban. It will be interesting to see what happens to the crime rate IFF the state actually starts allowing concealed carry and does not make it a legal nightmare application process.

Analysis: Guns and the law; recent ruling highlights legal and personal stakes

As of last Friday Chicago recorded it's 500th homicie making it the murder capital of America. This along with the murder numbers from the other states with the most restrictive gun laws SHOULD show that the gun laws in these states are not working and never will. The Liberals/Democraps and other anti gun folks don't care about the facts and figures as they show that their arguements are not basedon the truth but their own wants and emotions. The 500 murders in Chicago are more deaths than there have been in the war zone in Afghanistan in 2012 and this is an indicator of the fialed gun laws and failure of the LE in Chicago. As noted in the article the majority of the murders involve gangs and their rivals so it would make sense to focus on these gangs and their " illegally " obtained guns rather than the law abiding citizens simply wanting to protect themselves and their families.

Again, they have one of the nation’s toughest gun policies… Could it be the people, society and not the weapon!!!

This IS what they believe is the perfect American City!!!!

Not a peep from Obama or his media!
"The BIG Lie" The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:[5][6] His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]
