There are a lot of good movies out there, but Act Of Valor, IMO, has them all beat. The acting may not be the best (it isn't bad, though), but the message is really powerful. I hardly every buy movies, but I went out and bought it when it came out. It's so inspiring.

I saw it some time back, I didn't buy it, but must agree with Duck. And seeing as how the Seals in the movie are actual active duty seals, I'd say the acting was ok on their part. They are trained to Fight and do a dam good job at that, so if their acting skills lack a little oh well, still a must see movie.

They used live rounds too. Don't ask me how...maybe they used real-life terrorists too? LOL...that's doubtful.

I watched it but usually avoid all movies concerning war but my son thought I might be able to sit through it. My thoughts are it is propaganda and nothing more and a great marketing ploy for the masses of young men considering the military as a career. This is the second war movie that I actually sat through the whole thing and the other was " Saving Private Ryan " as it was suggested by a WWII Veteran who was there so that I might see just how it was when they were trying to get on and off the beaches while landing. As a general rule I don't watch these type movies but when they are deemed important enough by one who was there I feel a need to watch and learn just what these men endured.
