Hi Members, I've got a 7mm mag remg model 700 with a 24" barrel 1in9 twist. I'm was just wonder what powder would work the best with a 168 vld hunting berger bullet.

Lymans says for a 7mm Remington Magnum it is H4831.
I like either IMR4350 or IMR 4831 in my .300 win mag not a 7 but close.
What are you using now?
Either Cabela's or Bass Pro carries a small book on individual calibers called the Complete Reloading Manual for xxxxx. Cast about $12.00 They list loads and data for most of the bullets on the market. I would buy one of these books

my buddy loads H4350 in his 7mm and has good luck with it , berger makes great bullets , and Berger just came out with there 1st ld manual its about the best load book out there , the only thing about there manual I don't like is they don't tell u what primer they used , but a great load manual to have as to have the 5th Sierra which is also a great load manual

Check the loading data for IMR-7828, I understand the powder was developed by DuPont for the 7MM Mag when DuPont owned both IMR Powder and Remington, it is slower burning than 4350 or 4831.  I don't load for the 7 MM Mag but  have found 7828 works very well in the 300 Weatherby, check the Hodgdon web site for data.  Have you checked Berger Bullets loading data for recommendations?

Yes I found there data but like every one said they don't say what primers to use. The powder I got on hand is IMR 4831. The horandy book said to use WLR. Well it hurt to use WLRM

Either primer will work. Just work up your loads as you normally would.
