Merry Christmas folks

CA, I thought I'd let you know that I bought the service manual for that 3 wheeler, and I've got it tuned in and running like a champ. With the exception of the first week of the muzzle season when we had enough snow to use the snowmobile I used the 3 wheeler exclusively throughout the seasons. The only time I ran the quad was to plow snow.

Nice to hear from everyone.

Went out on Christmas Day to retrieve the two man deer stand.  While walking down the power line, I flushed two deer.  There is hope for next year.

Lunkerdog, that is good to hear about the wheeler.  I am glad that you were the one that ended up with the machine (I kind of determined to save it for you anyway).  Were you able to get the generator working?  I never could keep a battery charged in it, and don't have the savvy to tackle the charging system.  I knew the machine was too good to just sell it to some kid who would trash it.  Glad to hear it is getting to do some honest work.

The tires on the Jeep are working great, but I haven't had a chance to really see how it handles the snow since I am out plowing when the snow is falling.  We really like the Jeep.  Its a fun little vehicle.  I have a friend that is into Jeeps and off-roading. He is trying to talk me into some upgrades.  Not sure how crazy I want to get with it though.  Maybe in a few more months when the "new" wears off.

Ca, I have briefly looked into the charging system, but have not gone threw the troubleshooting process yet. It's been a none issue as the machine usually starts after 2 or 3 pulls. But I intend to have that issue figured out by next season.

You can rest assured that this machine will not be trashed, I love it, and intend to keep it running as long as I can. There are many parts available for it on eBay, so I believe I can keep it going for awhile. At this point I'm considering what parts I may want to buy proactively, and many of them are the electrical/ charging system parts. Tho it's not a priority at this time, it is on the radar.

One of the things I've always loved about these old 3 wheelers is that they can tip toe around a lot of places that today's quads can't, and for the most part don't shred the earth like many of today's quads. This little buggy is an excellant addition to my off road machines, and will more than likely be my go to hunting machine for as long as I can keep it running. Did I mention how easy it is to tow around compared to my quad?

I'm glad the Jeep, and tires are working well for you. I've been very pleased with our Jeep, but prefer it for "on road use". For off road I have the 3 wheeler, quad, and snowmobile. Over the years I've learned that those types of vehicles are much cheaper to repair should I do something that causes a breakdown. Also, I use the Jeep for everyday use, the rest of them can sit until I can either allocate the time and/or money too repair them. Just sayin
