I have a good supply of 9mm bullets and the question is I want load some target shooting 38 Special rounds. Just buy some 357 lead/FMJ stuff.

9mm bullets are 0.355 diameter, 38 Special/357 Magnum bullets are 0.357 diameter, so you are talking 0.002 difference between them.

There is enough load data around for the 38 special that uses light bullets in the 110gr to 125gr range, so using the 9mm bullets in that weight range shouldn't be a problem, however you may need a slightly heavier crimp to keep the bullet in place in the case.

Thanks. I was thinking the same. I have S&W 19 and Ruger Blackhawk has that model with extra 9mm cylinder.

I have load 38/357 for year's and some have been .355 Speer bullets, they recommend that you use the minimum powder grain that it call's for in the 38sp and slowly work you way up not to exceed Maximum, be safe and enjoy.
