According to this report, the rifle wasn't used in the attack on the school in Connecticut, but of course this won't be brought out during the obama/Biden meetings. They are so bent on banning any so call assult weapon they won't care about the truth. I do think though they will end up not only trying to ban rifles, but will also try to ban semi auto pistols.http://video.today.msnbc.msn.com/to...5#50208495 |

The antis have already done their harm, to truth usualy comes out, but only after the the precieved witch is dead. It is time we start painting a picture of the anti-gun folks as they are, a bunch of cowardly witch hunters, feeling safe only in an emotionally whipped up mob, distorying all they do not like or understand. Makeing up what they need and hideing or ignoring the facts when they don't fit their needs.
I must add I did see an interview ,of a medical examiner who said the wounds he examined where caused by .223 bullets. It was a short interview, with very little other info., then no thing more. Because there was other info. which had said the AR style rife was found in the car. With no info if he had made it back out to the car before his death. |

As I have said in addition to my full time job which amounts to 48 on and 48 off. I have a small farm. I spend a lot of time going around in circles and such on a tractor. I work on many different things out in the woods or fields, alone with my thoughts. That gives time to think about many things. I most often have a firearm somewhere close, Snakes, rabbits, or maybe just a little target practice. I really don’t worry about anyone doing harm to me. But I do think about those who first came here and settled. I do feel blessed and thankful. They had to always be on guard, they could not get lost in their work with little regard for who might come calling. I often must go ( do my business) in the woods or fields, and I don’t have to worry about who or what might attack as I do that. I often sit out on the patio or by a fire at night, mesmerized by the flames the crackle of the fire and enjoy the sounds of night, with no real worries of being attacked by anyone or anything as those first settlers did. My doors are usually unlocked at night as I sleep. I wake easily at any sound and have a gun near by, but still have no real worries. We have laws, and many believe the laws protect us, but it is not the laws that protect us, it is the force or threat of possible force used to enforce those laws that protects us. It was, has been the right to protect ones self, backed by laws that make us sesure. Most raised not just here but all around this Country, know if you go onto a farmers property at night you could get shot. It may take the Police sometime to arrive, giving plenty of time for those with bad intentions to do harm. So it is not the laws or Law Enforcement that keep them for doing it, it is the knowledge they may not live to be arrested that keep them from doing it. If you stop and think about it, why else would there be fewer murders and such in remote, insolated areas, where response by police can take a half hour or more. Yes victims are commonly found in those areas, but only after being taken from somewhere else. Those of us who live in these areas can understand this more than those who do not. The remoteness bleeds self-reliance, and an understanding of how our founders saw and understood things. The Police investigate after the fact; enforce the laws after the fact. And no matter how you look at it, it is the gun and the threat of force that affords them the ability to enforce those laws. It is the threat of force and the God given right to defend our selves at the time by anyone that protects us, not the laws after the fact. Many of those who advocate gun control, don’t know the first thing about protecting themselves, they rely on the quick response or perceived quick response of police to protect them. Many may have never laid a hand on a gun, nor understand the first thing about them. As History shows ignorance, lack of knowledge and understanding about anything gives way to the hate and fear of that thing. We are not that many years from the huddling around a fire in fear of what lies in the dark beyond, of witch-hunts over things not understood. The masses have always been for the most part cowards, huddled and praying near the fire, fearing the noses that lie in dark beyond, relying on someone or something else to protect them. They know their own cowardice and have a love hate relationship for those they see as having the courage to do something, other than wait for daylight. They must justify their cowardice by painting those who have courage as having under lying evil tendencies that must be controlled and guarded against. They do not want to admit that evil exist on its own, and at time they have no control over it, and lack the courage to face it. That there are just evil people out there with no other reason, other than evil it’s self. We live on a continent isolated from the evils of the rest of the world, and have little understanding of the real evil that exist elsewhere. We with our Constitution, understanding of basic God given rights and human rights, and ones right to protect our selves not just from the individuals who would do us harm but the Government as well. Those Countries that are to the North and South of us, we have done battle with in the past. The British, who controlled Canada, and the Mexicans, have piece with us because of the Battles fought so long ago. Their cultures are not that much different from our own. So we on this Continent are isolated from the evils of the rest of the world, and really do not understand the true evils that are out there. So when an isolated evil event such as the one that just happen, does occur it sends us into an emotional panic. Looking for answers, where none exist, witch-hunts that do more harm than good. No standing army can just march across our borders, we are protected and isolated by oceans, they must fight their way across, then once here they will be meet by not just standing armies, but by armed citizens ready to protect what is theirs. No matter how the cowards of this continent look at it, it is the gun and those with the courage to use them, which protects their cowardly arses. It is the strong that understand evil exist and the only way to control it is with force, it can never be eliminated only controlled as best we can while guarding individual rights and freedoms. There will always be those who fall victim to evil, no matter what we do. We must morn our loss, bury the dead and continue on. Knowing we are still the freest safest most secure nation on the plant, not in spite of the guns, but because of the right to own and bear them and protect ourselves, our rights and property with them, no matter who challenges.

Yup, that was a good read. LOL. I'm just glad I finally was able to send in my concealed carry application for the state of Wisconsin. It'll probably take me six weeks to get it, but at least I'll get it. |

I, personally, think that that post ought to be read by every American. It doesn't get any truer(is that a word?) than that!! DB, I wouldn't think it would take that long to get your CC permit. I got mine back in Feb. and it only took 4 weeks. |

The video is from Dec 15th. Any recent stories note that the AR-15 was used and that it was a shotgun was in the car.
Unfortunately there was/is allot of speculation and stories based on he said/ she said friends of the mother with very little if any fact checking being done by the media.

Don't all those Texas Waddy's do that???
Ok you two jay birds , don't know that I have drank water out of hoof prints, but have drank water where hoof prints were near by . We Texicans can be a bit long winded. But we come by it honestly, and with reason. There have been Six flags fly over us, and tried to take the best parts of all . And thank all of you for your kind comments. I have said little that has not been said by many in here already, just in a little differant way. And we are all going to have to take the kid gloves off, and say some hard things in the future, The PC crap is going to have to stop, the truth and facts may hurt feelings, but the truth and facts are not always kind things . |
