Dick's stores suspend sales of certain rifles

I will be suspending all future business with Dick's as a result!

And so it begins...

I guess they really are dicks

Sucome to pressure .WallMart is still selling them .Just removed their add from the computer .

Cerebus corp is selling Freedom Group a subsidiary that owns different gun manufacturers.

Don't shop at Dick's anyhow; other than maybe to pick up a box or two of trap loads sometimes. I drive the 45 minutes to Bass Pro and have for years now.

Their loss, people will just buy them somewhere else.

Never had shopped at Dick's until last week before the shooting when I got a Swiss knife for a present. Won't be returning. This all went on after Columbine, and the OK City bombing, and some other high profile crimes.

Occasionally have shopped at Dick's due to their location near a few of my doctors. Their membership card program sucks, since the points expire, unlike BassPro where they will keep accumulating. I did purchase my Stoeger Condor from Dick's, but other than that have never bought any other guns from them, due to their prices and lack of customer service. Most of their products are usually more expensive than Wal-Mart and BassPro, so my shopping has been pretty much the "I'm looking for something and want to know what you have" type.

Cheaper than dirt suspended firearms sales also.

Maybe they're admitting it was their fault...

We have a Dick's here since the last year or so but I havenever been inside and don't look to either. CTD suspended their sells for 72 hrs according to an email I recieved from them this am. Most all of my internet business is done at either CTD or Sportsmans Guide as they have the biggest selections and best prices. I bought my newest handgun from a locallly owned and operated business and usually go there before making purchase anywhere else. These are the ones that I finally settled on after like everybody else buying a box full of other brands that just didn't work for me.

I like others here are not fans of boycotting, things. But there are times when that would seem to be the only solution, hit them in their pocket books, just like the antis try to do. They buckle to the pressure of the antis saying they will not shop at their store, many of which may have never stepped foot in a sporting goods store, nor spend the same amount of money as hunters and such do. If they do not want to sell guns or certain types of guns, fine that is their choice. But we as hunters and spotsman should not continue to support them in any way. Let the Antis they buckled to do that.

Failure to honor the pre sold orders is basically an act of fraud. Cancellation of sales after entering a contract with a manufacturer, is also fraud. I see a legitimate case for a law suit here.

I did not even know we had Dicks sporting goods here until we left for AZ.and seen one i Modesto .Thats about 3 hours from me so I won't be going there .
