Thanks, Steve. I've been in and out of this site for about 12 years... at one time. I'd guess I was the top poster on this forum (in numbers, not popularity), then I sorta got burnt out. For unknown reasons, I seem to rub some people the wrong way on here, and I got tired of the same circular arguments. Now, I just sorta float in and out when I either need a few laughs, or I see the opportunity to stick a spur in people, or I feel that I need a reminder of the failures of American scholastic policies (o_O). Oh- and I love to insult people, in a semi- harmless way. I expect no less in return. No point being here if I can't enjoy myself. |

Steve, that should actually be welcome "back" to the site. I don't know how long he's been a member, but he was here before I signed on in the Spring of 2008. You may remember him as Yukon Hunter.

There are so many of the older ones that either just show up now and again that were here when I first came on .And when YH showed up again That's who I thought it was .That's why I never really said about what he said as he just likes to stir things up .
My first one was Loyd,then JLoyd .Lost them in change overs . |

can some of you self righteous people explain why when someone posts something you don't agree with, you say they are just "stirring the pot"? when did this place become a haven for conservatives only?
YH's posts have always been thought provoking if you read the posts. if you would have been around back in the day, you would know that he has very intelligent discussions about what he agrees with and what he doesn't. does he kick the can every once in a while, yes. but this post is dead on. pretty sure this site is for all members. and their ideas, whether you like them or not. |

tod can you explain why you seem to come to Yukons defence so quickly, I have noticed you are quick to jump in if somones questions bother you more so than him. Is he your baby brother or somthing like that, becuase that is what it seems like. |

Why do you lie, liar? 
I suspect the reason TLC likes to come to my aid is because that's the type of guy he is- if he sees a lone guy on the street with ten guys piling on, he'll wade in and start kicking some a$$. Gotta admire a guy like that. I find most on here behave very much like jackals... they'll group together to try to bring down a difficult foe, because they can't do it on their own.

todd can explain anything. Yh does not bother me one bit. have been dealing with him for more than a decade. unlike all you relatively new people, I know this place has been around a long time. difference between now and then is that back then, people had one on one arguments. everyone didn't jump on one person. and can you point out what questions bothered me? and no, he is not my little brother. even though, I am of canadian decent from what my grandparents told me. |

no, more of your I think I know everything attitude. had/have respect for all the guys that used to come to this site. none of them ran around the entire board acting like they knew everything. Itrap, mars, cent, cashman, grizzly, da griz, big dawg, quailman, TnT, horsefly, sfarish(really miss his pics of his deep sea diving pics with the spear) just to name a few. know I am missing names, but this was 10-12 years ago. |

I'm guessing here, but I'm thinking that YH would admit that he actually likes to "stir the pot". of course he does. but this didn't sound like the type of thread that was stirring the pot. as someone said in an earlier post - "Ironically we recently had a debate here about overreacting at a time of emotional distress."
What socialist wouldn't love to do that to an American??? socialist? in the years that I have dealt with him, he always seemed more like a left leaning independant. which is what made it fun to "discuss" things with him. but I'm sure you guys that have known him for what, a few months know him better.
Defend who you choose TLC, I wonder if an admitted socialist would do the same for you. I guess that may depend on the circumstance. don't need your permission who I will or won't stand up for. as far as would he do it for me? don't know. but would also say that he knows me well enough to know that I can handle myself on here with as long as we've been dealing with each other.

TLC- Korot. And Jim Deacon. He was definitely a formidable foe, like Cash.
Then there's Shiloh... one of the funniest threads I ever remember on here was when I purposely gave some made-up stats to him after he tried to do the same, and he said that my figures weren't correct. I replied "Wait a minute- you mean we're NOT just making $ h i t up?" I laughed for days over that- he didn't respond.
LD, I actually laughed out loud at your post. I've commented on here over and over that I was sure you guys were all getting together, taking your shirts off and oiling each other up. Quite often, when I'm involved in a particularly animated discussion with one guy, someone else will kick in a "Yeah, YH... he's right, and you're wrong". Always reminds me of that cartoon... "Butch is my hero, 'cause he's so brave 'n strong". |
