Yes I do believe that they should legalize both .I don't care for marryjane it stinks and makes me sic to my belly .Then we could slow down some of the disieses that they carry .You mite get a little and ruin things for a long time .That way they would all need tested and given a license.to practice there trade .

I don't know if legalizing prostitution would help the U.S. economy or not but it wouldn't hurt all the ugly single guys out there  THE BIRTHRATE MIGHT EVEN GO DOWN  because they would no longer have to rely on alchohol to get laid

ternera, when I was married to my first wife, we lived in Santee, SC., ask any professional truck driver who drives I-95, I-26, and I-20 about Santee, and Society Hill and they can tell you about the truck stops with the girls in those two towns. My ex used to tell me to go visit the truck stop, rather than bother her. Luckily I was good buddies with one of the owners and always got freebies. Santee-Portland Cement in Holly Hill, SC. I used to hunt right next to the Santee State Park when I lived up there. Those swamps are mild compared to the one I hunt in now.

Did you meet Larry Miller, and his partner that is the big Hollywood producer, they actually owned the company back when I lived up there in the mid to late '70's. I can't think of the movie guy's name, but he produced a lot of movies and tv shows, including the "Caddy Shack" movies and some of the popular game shows back then. Larry's brother was a friend of Reagans, and used to have breakfast at the White House and then attend my monthly Thursday night dinners at our hunting club. That's how I met Lee Atwater, and Harry Dent when they were influential in the GOP.

One aspect that has always puzzled me is this: A man and woman can meet, say in a bar. They can have a few drinks, go to a hotel room and go at it. In most areas, it's perfectly legal-- consenting adults. But the second money becomes involved it becomes a crime. What changed about what the couple did? Tab "A" still went into Slot "B".

Legalizing murder and rape would also lower the crime rate and if the government just charged for a license for those activities and possibly also a rape or murder exemption to keep 1 from being legally raped or murdered just think how much cash would flow in to the government! Maybe they could charge lic fees based upon whom was going to be raped or murdered, that fat 1 toothed slimy chick that lives under the bridge might cost 50 bucks but that high class socialite could bring in 1000s!

Now that I have gotten the ridiculousness out, I will state that I am opposed to legalizing more and more deviant activities and claiming hey it is good since it lowers the crime rate. Of course crime rates will drop if actions are no longer considered crimes. Other countries have been swayed by their so called intellectual elites and learned ones in to legalizing various activities and they have fallen. Some have recovered, some have not.

Many say that neither pot nor prostitution have ever harmed anyone are misinformed. I have seen with my own eyes how getting high has caused others to suffer and even die. I have seen a wife prostitute herself out and come back with aids, she might have earned it but her unknowing husband did not.

I respect all of your opinions and your rights to disagree with me on this subject but hope it can be civil.

SteelCandy I will have to say that in this instance I have to disagree. There are no known statistics that prove that pot consumption has actually contributed to the deaths of any one, unless it was a traffic fatality caused by extreme desire for fattening junk food that causes a zoned out dope smoker to drive to the quick mart, to satisfy the munchies. There is also no truth to the false idea that pot smoking naturally leads to stronger and actually deadly drug use. The true problem is caused by some of the people pot smokers must associate with in order to get their illegal pot. Those are the reasons that pot smokers may graduate to stronger addictive drugs. Also, in the cases of the housewives who prostitute themselves, how many are forced into it by their husbands or boy friends? The cases that I can positively point at are usually along the lines of welfare classes who refuse to actually work for a living and will resort to any means possible to keep their welfare; or a woman who actually realizes the money making potential of what's between her legs and decides that rather than playing the mating game, it's simpler to just be up front and rent it out for a half an hour or so..........after all, men pay for sex regardless. There is no such thing as free kooze.

As for contracting aids and then passing it along.........she knew what she was doing even if he didn't.

When I was younger I thought that pot was harmless and hookers were just being honest about it.

Then after people I knew were harmed from these actions my views changed.

Every time I see this young girl that lost her fingertips, ears, half her face, her foot and her little sister in a fire because her parents were smoking pot in the kitchen while a space heater ignited the girls blanket I have to fight down the urge to stomp the parents in to hamburger. The parents were more concerned with getting their stash out of the home and moving the truck away so it wouldn't burn.

Harry was a friend that tried to provide his lady with everything she wanted, he picked up a 2nd job to earn more money to buy her stuff. She was never satisfied and ended up hooking for her drug supplier. She infected my friend with AIDs and he lost everything. His job, his home, his kids and his life. He was so ashamed about how he contracted it that he lied and told people he was shooting up. He wanted to protect his wife's reputation til the day he died.

Not far from here some high school kids were driving late at night smoking pot and misjudged a bend in the road, killing the passenger. They knew the road and had driven it countless number of times but never high before.

These examples and a few others changed my mind from what I once thought.

What worries me is the fact that when you legalize (the weed ), How many other gun relative deaths would come of it.Someone breaking down your back fence to get to your garden.In my opinion, here in Texas is well, " stolen property"KILL AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER.How many homes are going to be broken into, to steal the stash that someone has?As we all know if becomes legal, no matter what, their will be a buyer in another country to buy the product, which " is always going to be higher " than a country that legalizes it...Yeah it will stop the " gang bangers'" for awhile. Then again, they will pick up other drugs to sell.You can actually exterminate all drugs and drug users.. It dont matter, they will find a new drug to compensate their lives.Im not against legalization....Im just looking down the road abit, All off us are barely hanging onto our 2nd amendment rights, why fuel the fire right now.It really dont matter if you tax these peeps,,,there is alwyas sombody that will not pay.. then when you catch these peeps then they get sent to prison where us taxpayers have to foot the bill...Its a catch twenty -two.
