Hunting Forum

Brand new to coyote hunting.  Anyone have a suggestion on whether or not to mess with the hides?  Do you know of anyone from the Denver area or anyone that travels thru to pick up hides.  Not looking to make a fortune, but hate to waste a good hide with the cold weather coming on.  What's an informative place to keep up with the latest coyote hunting tips/equipt on the internet?  Thanks!

have you tried talking to the dow and see what they say? i know there for awhile they were paying for the hides but don't know if they still are or not... Also how often do you go hunt them i've been looking for someone to go with and some new places to go...

I am north of you in Evans/Greeley. What caliber do you hunt coyotes with? Plan on starting hunting this coming season for deer and thought about coyotes for good practice.

i've used anything from a 17hmr to a 300 wsm if they are a long way out... but i just bought a .243 and looking to give it a try... I'm working stock show but was thinking about going out once its over and giving it a shot and see how it shoots... I was talking to a friend and was saying the hydes were only gonna be good for a few more weeks so wanted to try and get some before then
