Get in touch with a place called Sponsor A Hunt. These are some great folks that put on hunts for disabled around the country at reduced cost or free in many cases. Christy King runs it. I was fortunate enough to be chosen for a disabled Veterens Hunt in Indiana this year. Those who know me, know this year has been VERY hard on me physically and with out the hunt, I would not have had much of a chance this year. These folks made it happen. I was able to get a nice doe that weighed in over 180 lbs feild dressed. My boy, Matt, drove me from here to there and back, 12 hours one way. They even set him out on a stand and let him take a deer as well. He WAS going to hunt the local WMA BUT the folks putting the hunt on refused to let him. They said that the effort of driving me there and back deserved to get to hunt. www.SponsorAHunt.org

I remember when I joined last year that I offered my farm to disabled vets. I had only one take me up on it. I guess since it's not-commercial, it's not attractive. I don't guide, I don't cater, and best of all I don't charge. If you are in a wheel chair, I'll help you put up a temp. blind so you can hunt, same if you have only one leg. I was hoping this new guy rbarber2 would answer. I think I even PMed him.
Brian: there is a similar place around here called "The Freedom Outdoors" that caters to the vets. I even joined their outfit to offer my place there too, but seems a little on the "dead" side.
I might end up snooping on that other site "Everyday Hunters" that you mentioned. BTW hope you are doing better.

Where do you live?
I own 37 acres in South Jersey and have another 37 posted. Would be willing to help. My farther also only had one leg. I can remeber when he went ice skating, this was 45 years ago. he was very proud. He would go to Pa. deer hunting every year. He was very sucessful. We would also go rabbit hunting. He never let his disibilty slow him down.
Again where do you live??

Ternera1, I might take you up on that hunting. My dear friend Toby and I are both disabled but try to meet up each year down that way to hunt turkey or whatever we can. It's more of a get together kinda thing. Turkey and Hogs are always a winner....

I mean of course, if it doesn't put you out any and you want to spend some campfire time with an "Old Goat" like the kids call me.

Brian: Mine call me an old fart, when they are being nice. I got a hell of a crop of turkeys. Yesterday A.M. I saw 3 jakes and 4 big grown toms about 40yrds from my stand. I'm going to start carrying my 17.
I'll sit in my stand and you use one of your famous calls. You and your friend are more than welcome. Drop me a PM if you have questions.
