Nice! Congrats to him! From his dress, I assume it was gun season?

Congratulations! Where in Alberta? Three buddies and I hunted around Grande Cache the week of Thanksgiving. We hunted hard, dark to dark, for seven days. It was supposed to be peak rut but you sure couldn't prove it to me. In the whole week I saw about 12 does but I never saw antlers. Two of the guys saw a few small bucks. One buddy had a huge 190" 5x5 in the crosshairs at 350 yards but wasn't comfortable taking the shot and couldn't get closer. All four of us ate tag soup. Our outfitter said he thought the early deep snow was slowing the deer activity down. It was a great experience though. You've got some beautiful country up there. And it is pretty cool for this PA boy to share the woods with such diverse wildlife. We saw elk, moose, wolves and a bunch of grizz sign. Even though we didn't connect it was pretty awesome.
