So fellow Wisconsin hunters how did the gun season go? I haven't seen anything with horns! Hunted by our cabin opening weekend in Land O Lakes and that's buck only and all I saw were doe's! Sat where I hunt in langlade county didn't see anything worth shooting! Just wondering how others had any luck? |

i hunt columbia county our numbers were 10% lower this year than last, i am hoping it was due to high temps and alot of wind ,heading out shortly with the muzzleloader, would like to see a big snow that sticks around soon cause there is nothing better than late season bow with snow |

I live in langlade co. The city of Antigo! We got a couple inches last weekend and since it started warming up on Friday now its all gone! Up at the cabin in land o lakes last weekend they got 3-6 inches! It really sucks, was hoping for it to stick! Even last week a couple of my buddy's were ice fishing on pelican lake!! |

I live in Milwaukee, am from Green Bay and bow hunt in florence county. Bow season was decent nothing to shoot but saw a few little bucks. I hunt in the UP just outside of beecher, WI and we shot 4 nice bucks this year. |

I opened in Sauk Co and we had 4 down by 11am. Headed home to Sawyer Co Sunday afternoon and didn't see a thing the whole week. Everyone is blaming the wolves. Well, my neighbor set up a trail cam and found that there were 6 unique bucks and numerous does on his land BUT, all the activity was between 6pm to 5am. There is no shortage of deer they've just gone nocturnal. Just because you don't see them during shooting hours don't mean there aren't any. We had no idea there were so many deer in his woods or out our back door.

I'm in West Allis and hunted a buddies land in Big Flats (Adams Cty) with him and 2 other guys. I took a nice 7 pionter 20 mins before closing on opening day. Nobody else saw anything. And nobody saw anything on Sunday. Monday, 1 guy took a small nubber (out of despiration, I think) and took out the straps as it was on the run. I agree with "I" in chalking poor hunting hour sightings up to that hot summer and warm hunt season weather. We did get some nice sightings on our trail cams, but like Badger says, they are going nocturnal. Hopefully this will help build up for next years hunt. Pending better weather assists it. |

I was definitely disappointed this year! From November 6-now all our deer have been nocturnal! Baiting with potatoes and sugar beats with camera's, everything is at night! At least muzzle loader is done today, then after that stupid 4 day doe hunt maybe we'll start getting some nice day pictures again! |

my opening weekend was a stinker. Nothing seen, nothing heard. Thanksgiving and the rest of the weekend, went up north to the inlaws. Hunting on the leased land. Nothing. My father in law would tell me "ok, last night i left, and there were deer. ill put you there in the morning." morning...nothing. "i saw some this morning. sit there" and nothing. Repeat for 4 days. LOL At least i have a good story for my first time in 18 years.
