Hunting Forum

I am looking for hunting ground for myself and my kids. I've been hunting since I was a boy. I have four children two of which have expressed intrest in hunting. I have family ground that we can hunt, but it is four/five hours away and it doesn't allow for proper scouting due to time restraints on my schedule at work. I would like to find something closer to home so i can spend more time in the woods teaching them.

 

Try some of the MDC managed ground around Wappapello Lake, Lot's of it and I am certain some hasn't been hunted, but may have to walk a ways.

Any suggestions on hunting public land? I haven't had much luck with it before and don't want to bust out anyone else hunt. I have also done some look at Apple Creek.
