Opening week of firearms was a success for me in Southampton County. On opening day I got the biggest buck of my short hunting career so far. It was a 170 lb 8 pt with a nice wide spread. Then the following Monay I got me a doe. Then just when I thought I had seen all I was going to see for the first week, Friday evening I missed another big buck that was really moving. Overall it was a great way to start the season off and a nice little reward after returning just three weeks ago from an eight month deployment. So how did everyone else's opening week go?

To say that I am envious would be a huge understatement. Congrats. I haven't even seen one since the opening day of black powder season.
