I'm currently serving at Fort Hood. I love to hunt deer, elk and hogs. I wish I could get some orders to Carson. Congrats on the elk you got this year. I jus got back from a get together with some retired buddies at Ft benning, GA. It was a good time if all goes well we do it again next year.

Bruse sorry for the delay in reply. Yeah Carson is really nice, esecally if you can stay awa from 4thID It is a great area to live in even wthout the hunting. Let me know if you are ever around here. Lot of good places to eat and drink. I was in TX the first week of JAN with my family on a Vet hunt at a ranch near Pleasanton. My son and I shot 3 bucks a piece and my 8 year old girl shot a pig with an AR!! Great week. My big buck was a 130" that I am waiting on a Euro mount!!

Kudos to you both for serving, and I thank you for that. I am an Amry vet myself. (82-90) SFC, can I ask what they are getting $$ for the Euro mount? A buddy of mine did the cleaning/boiling (He knew a taxidermist that showed him the technic) and I made the mount for the smaller buck I took this past season. Just what the price is.

The taxidermist in Texas is getting $150 for the mount on a Mesquite plaque. The same thing around here in CO would have cost me about $225. It should be ready pretty quick. I'm excited to get it back and up in the house.

I know you'll like it. I wanted to attach a pic of the one I did, but something here won't let me.
