I've watched a lot of videos of people shooting small game,
and birds with a pellet rifle using a mildot scope.

I know how great they are on long range weapons,
but wondered if anybody uses them much on pellet rifles?

Would like to hear from those who do.

Thanks.

i have a Hawke 4-16x50 mill dot on my AAS410 ERB in .22cal. i use it quite a bit as with any pellet gun the pellet has a decent ark and drops quickly after 50 yards.

Sure.  But most of the time it doesnt matter. To make a clean kill on a squirrel using a pellet gun, you generaly need to shoot withen 30 yds. With a .177 caliber rifle, you will lose kill power before the pellet drops any.  But it is all really up to what you are comfortable with.

I usually just hunt with iron sights on my pellet gun, usually killing squirrels 1st shot. I have only made 1 unclean kill, first shot I clipped its front leg, second shot was a headshot.
