How's y'all's season going? I finally put a cpl does and a cull 8 pt in da freezer. |

There's so little activity on here I often forget it exist. My bow season went real good and I was able to take 3 down which is a new bow season record for me. Rifle season has been terrible. Tuesday night was the last time I went on only time during rifle season I've seen one, but they were small and on the run so there was no chance even if I wanted one. |

Yep, in the part of the state I hunt in, we finish up the end of Jan. In the SE part of the state they go thru mid-Feb.
Good Luck, BK! Believe it or not, that top one was heavier and a touch wider, but I took him as a cull. the bottom one was the first legal buck I had seen while hunting with my son. He was really wanting us to kill a buck...he even determioned which stand we hunted that afternoon.

Yeah I see the mass now. The bottom one looked like it had a kicker when I saw it on my phone, but now I see it's just a leaf. |

He must've had a drop on the right, at some point, as I could tell where it used to be and all the points on the left were broken. As I was cleaning up the skull plate I discovered a gouge mark in his skull that looks like it was made by an antler tip. He got his butt whooped something fierce! It had to've happened back in Oct., cuz thats when I got the first pics of him. |
