Hunting Forum

So I am not complaining because I have taken 4 deer in three years. But 3 have been does (another yesterday) and one was a button buck I thought was a doe. So I have done better than some hunters I know. But man I just want one nice rack to hang on the wall. I hunt for meat so the trophy is really not a big deal but just one nice set of horns on my wall and I would be happy. I know you can't always take home a trophy but man just one....LOL

Yep I know what you mean. My son and I hunt mostly to fill the freezer and I think the biggest ones we have got is a 6 and an 8 point. I don't think we have the deer population we had years past. That and so much ground is posted and the deer dont have to move around as much. If people would let hunters hunt I think you would see bigger deer because we see big deer before season but come season they stay where they are less pressured.
