I suddenly began having trouble including smilies in my posts after upgrading to Firefox 17.0 I looked for an appropriate forum for testing test posts but could find none so I just picked one that hasn't been very active. Forgive this being in an inappropriate spot.

Edit: ah - that's it, I can't just click on the ICONs any longer and have them appear for some reason. I now have to use the ASCII representation of them. okie-dokie...

I can't figure it out. No matter what I do, clicking on the smilie icons won't work for me but if I enter say ; ) without the space... I cleared local cache, rebooted, started Firefox in Safe Mode (all my add-ons disabled), uninstalled Firefox and re-installed FF 17.0 No go... Icons on other sites work, seem to be just this one. I brought it up in IE just to see and they work there but that's no where even close to a valid reason to use that POS. I guess I could always revert back to 16 and see if it works there. Maybe I should try that. Strange, especially since it works fine for others at 17.0

This is Dell's newest lap top. It's got Intel core 15 in it. I can't use the icons either. The only way I can make a reply is to use the quick reply. It won't let me use the Add reply ,or the Quote, reply or the alert. So If I make a mistake. I have to just leave it and make everyone try to decipher what I intended to say.

I made a mistake. It's a intel CORE i5. Not 15. All I get is the reply box in a grey color. It won't let me anything else.
