I prefer Velocators, a little slower but a full 40 grains which will increase penetration. I believe on fox sized animals I would limit my BODY shots to less than 100 yards.
Few 22 LR rifles can hold 1 minute of angle mainly due to inherent of rifles and accuracy of the regular ammo. Head shots are always problematic IMO. 1 inch variation can easily result in a wounded animal.
If the rifle and ammo is capable of a minute of accuracy (1 inch at 100 yards) and few are, plus shooter error, wind drift in a 10 mph cross wind error in range estimation another 1- 2 inches will give 3 inches of difference on the target makes a head shot problematic at best

Regular 22 lr HP have 85 foot pounds at 100 and a high point of 2.75 inches at 60 yards, wind drift in a 10 mph cross wind is ~7.4 inches
Stingers have 86 foot pounds at 100 yards and a high point of ~1.9 inches at 60 yards and drift is ~5.4
Velociators have 102 ft pounds of energy at 100 yards with a high point of 2.3 inches at 60 yards, wind drift of 6.2 inches
For the 1/2 inch difference I think the 16 foot pounds velociators are a better round for penetration
One can see that the main differences of 22 LR HP and Stingers at 100 yards is less drop for the Stingers while the Velociators have more energy that either Stinger
SHOT PLACEMENT IS ALWAYS THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IN ANY KILL.
It is easy to correct for drop BUT wind drift is a real problem in both wind speed and angle. IMO drift is the most difficult factor

I figure that trajectory is predictable while random dispersion isn't, so I've come to be in the"Accuracy is everything" school, so I prefer Yellow Jackets over Stingers, but every rifle is different. My most accurate 22 LR rifle eats up Aguila 36 gr HP high velocity - go figure!
