Hunting Forum

Another deer season came to an end. It was a good season. 3 Deer were taken.    5 hunters hunted and all three familys will have meat.  I was first to score with a 6 pointer, no brow tines, that fell on Sat. the 10th. about 0905 hrs.   We then had a visit at lunchtime from the game warden.      Nice young man just starting his first assignment.  The wife then shot a spike about 2pm that afternoon.  The wifes son and DIL arrived just before the warden so the also got checked.  Sunday morning the son missed a doe.  Monday morning the wife tagged an 8 pointer about 0800.  Found him following a doe. 

Daughter and her husband were up opening weekend but had no luck.  We are sharing deer with them so all have meat.

Glad you found success.  I take it the conservation officer new where your camp was ahead of time.

We are right off a forest service rd. He was also stopping at all the cabins in the area one of the locals told us. He said his area of patrol had no officer assigned to it for the last 5 years. We gave him some info on the road hunters in the area and he said he was aware of it but it was hard to catch them.
How did it go with the 45? Hope you got one..
