Obama administration is now supporting renewed talks on the UN arms treaty.  Anyone else hearing anything about this?  Reported by Reuters news service on wednesday 11/13/2012.

BTW i looked up the Reuters article. Everything is ok the following is a quote from an "US Official"

"We will not accept any treaty that infringes on the constitutional rights of our citizens to bear arms," he said.

Not sure how to indicate sarcasm in a post, but before you jump all over me read in a sarcastic tone and see if it sounds better

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the
U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the
complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth?

Obama and the truth have never met.
He is the most consummate liar there is.

What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

But all treaties have to be ratified by the senate before it is worth the paper it is written on .No matter what Clinton dose .

Not when the POTUS uses an Executive order ( mandate ) to make it happen. He can totally bypass the legal process by doing this and every one of us know he will. Then wil come the certain firearms bans, then ammo, then no private sales tranfers, then ht etotla ban of all private ownership of guns, then there will be setup turn-in points for destruction of the guns, and for those who do not turn-in the guns on a timely basis they become criminals and the UN troops will be sent to collect both the guns and the people. The guns will go to be destroyed and the offenders will be sent to one of the so called " FEMA " camps to be re-educated. There are already Russian Spetnatz soldiers being trained to operate under these guidelines and they will kill thousand who offer any reisistant. PREPARE YOURSELVES as I look for this to be the thing that sets off the nationwide resistance. I also look for the military personnel to uphold their oaths to defend against all enemy's both Foreign ( UN and the Russins ) and Domestic the ones who support the POTUS. I also look for the military personnel to leave their post and bring their weapons as well as the pilots that side with US to leave and bring their aircraft and ground support personnl as well. We can count on at least some of the truck drivers who haul ammo and weapons for the military to bring their loads to US and the military that side with US. This is gonna get bad real fast and it will take all the military people as wellas ALL of us hunters and gunowners to win and win we will. Of course martial law will be instituted at the first signs of resistance. I hope at least a good many here have been listening to me and my warnings.

I agree with You Bigdawg it will get nasty fast I have been preparing for this since it ws first announced. Everyone of us that took that oath to protect from all eniemes both forigein and domestic will get tested on the worst first so don't let anyone know that you are getting ready because they are all ready making a new frivers license in New Mexico for veterans only and are doing a back ground check and want you to give them more information on your self than anyone should.So Semper Fi and watch your 6 boys on all counts. BIGDAWG, I TO HAVE SERVED IN THE USMC AS A SNIPER AND FEEL THE SAME WAY THAT YOU DO ABOUT THE TOTAL GUN BAN AND KNOW THAT IT'S COMING FAST AND, IWILL NOT GIVE MINE UP WITHOUT A FIGHT .. With most of today's so called militia's being a bunch of unorganized and untrained skinheads, Nazi's, and other disturbed individuals I look for them to tbe the first ones to break and run should anything happen. The saving grace here for the militia's is that there are two what I consider to be legitimate militia's made up of all Veterans with one being run by a retired Major and the other being run by a retired Sgt Major. These two orgs have both sent letters to the POTUS informing him of his sworn oath duties just as the ones they/we swore to and that part is to defend this country from enemy's both foreign and domestic. I also know that should it come down to martial law being declared that there will be MORE than not of the active duty personnel who will NOT join the ones attempting to oppress WE THE PEOPLE and hopefully they will bring their weapons with them. I also feel there will be those in our Air Force who will side with WE THE PEOPLE and will also bring their aircraft and ground support personnel as well. It is well known that the biggest majority of the military personnel know how the current POTUS feels about and has and is treating them so this is of itself will give WE THE PEOPLE a good starting force with which to fight back if neccessary should all this happen in the future. Only time and history will tell. We shall see.

Neither an executive order or treaty can override or supersede a constitutional amendment.

However If Obama gets another shot at the SCOTUS we've got big trouble if he replaces any of the more conservative judges.

On top of all that perhaps then We charge him with TREASON for diregarding the constitution of the United States of America .He swore an oath to uphold and defend this in front of his own family .Let him try to deny that!
