As a Combat Veteran, I have a question, with the Elections going the way they did, do you feel our Second Ammendment is still in danger of being altered or even controlled and taken away?  Just curious how far up in the mountains I need to move.....LOL....but seriously are the rumor mills worth giving an ear or supporting the various organizations I support will ensure our kids and their kids have the same rights and Freedoms....?????

And if you do not wish to talk politics on the Forum feel free to im me....

They are and it will only get worse now that he has been re-elected. First he is from Chicago and then he has professed his wanting the assault weapons ban to be re-implemented and making it permanent this time. He will sign any treaty the UN agrees upon concerning firearms. He has told the Brady anti-gun group that he is working on the gun bans as well as ammunition bans and taxes. This is one of his biggest items on his agenda and this go round he lhas nothing to lose as he doesn't have to worry about any elections. One of my biggest fears is that if even one of the Supreme Court judges retires or dies he will get to put one of the left leaning ones on the bench and we seen who he chooses by his last 2 choices.

Well I read whgat I was thinking didn't want to put it out there if I was the only one concerned....I whole heartedly agree with all of you and I'll be Damned if their gonna take my guns...

ain't NOBODY taking my guns! Not without a serious fight. I'd be one of those: "He's currently barricaded in the house in a standoff with authorities" people...

I am praying that by being involved in so many Veteran and Gun right organizations, e.g. NAHC and NRA that they will fight for our Birth Given rights....we will pray for the best and expect the worst...

oh...and I still can not figure out how Romney lost.....the only conclusion I can come up with is he failed to go after the fastest growing community, the Hispanics and by backing up the deportation laws set by Arizona he lost those votes plus all the people who sit at home have babies and live off the free stuff from the Government, yet most of the Hispanics who did vote are illegal immigrants who applaude Obama for protecting them to give them especially their children the rights to stay undocumented...and the even sadder part is those illegal immigrants get better health care than a Disabled Combat Veteran.....not trying to offend anyone just some facts..

I know I can become very paranoid on this subject, especially when I do not trust who was elected. But, the government can't even contain our own borders. Immigration, drug smuggling, medicare fraud, you name it and they really have very little power to do anything. Yes, I do remember Waco and many, many, other incidents. If your family was in the house with you are you going to risk their lives too? Or are you going to part with most of your weapons and keep a few in a more secretive location? Shucks, I'd love to see them take on the crips and bloods, they have a fifty year old orginazation thats membership far exceeds a million, and they are in every major city in the US. I can see joining a group of people that thinks like I do. I think I still have the right to do this. I do believe that geographical location would be an issue as shown by the blue counties and states. I will keep buying guns and ammo and do believe that my fears are not totally without some reason.

Since the Senate has to ratify any treaty signed by the US, we can rest assured that Obama will once again try to circumvent the Constitutional authority of the Senate by not only agreeing to this new UN agreement (notice they changed the name from treaty to agreement), then he will simply issue an Executive Order which completely ignores the right of the Senate to ratify the agreement.

As I've said for several years, we can expect the blue helmeted UN Security Forces to be the ones who will attempt to enforce this agreement. I'm already in the process of painting my targets powder blue, so I can be prepared.

Oh, just so you are informed, don't expect the NAHC to do anything to fight for our rights.  Previously under the old administration there was an official statement issued by them that the club will not become involved in political matters and it isn't a priority of the NAHC to stand opposed to gun control issues.   Since Gordy Krahn has taken over the reigns, there has been a slight shift in the other directions, but don't count on the NAMG to support him or us!

This will be implemented in the US just as another treaty that was never ratified .The gun control treaty will be put in little at a time just like Agenda 21 is being implemented .Just a little at a time .

Its wrong for them to even think they can take a the right to bare arms away from use im simpathetic to this question but i hardly use fire arms to hunt but good topic

PSEGUY, what too many non-gun hunters fail to realize is that the anti-gun crowd are also aligned with the anti-hunting crowd in many instances. I believe it would be fair to say that after guns are gone, it wouldn't be long before archery equipment and even knives are also banned! As I keep pointing out, look at England, first it was handguns, now it's pocket knives and as I've said repeatedly, give 'em one little inch and they won't stop til they have taken a mile!!!!!!!!!!!!

This Country is in turmoil right since the election Texas has more than enough signed petitions to try and secede from the Union and other States are following suite, it makes me ashamed and feel my Service and Sacrifice was for nothing, I don't trust our Commander in Chief and pray our Leaders around him will veto any thing he tries to do with the UN, I have too many weapons, knives, etc.....I have PTSD and rarely trust anyone, hate going into crowded places which is why I live in the country and stay in small rural communities, we are heading in the wrong direction and this worries me, we should be united "One Nation under GOD" as founded bu our fore Fathers.....I Pray every day God will put America back on the map as a Super Power we once was, its because America took God out of schools, Court Houses, etc...we as Americans need to embrace God put him back in America (not a Bible thumper, and not trying to push my beliefs on anyone or offend anyone) but see how I said "offend" anyone, thats the problem we are afraid of "offending" others beliefs, true this is a melting pot, many beliefs, but Obama has created open boarders allowing the Illegal Immigrants to stay as long as they are folllowing our rules and trying to better themselves especially with small children and 80% of the Illegal Immigrants voted for this man...I see a revolution coming and Blue Helmets to our soil, mark my words this is just the begining...

If anyone can do anything about it, it would be the NRA. I think they are a VERY powerful force to be reckoned with and I believe they are one of the biggest reasons we can still have guns today. Make sure you are a member and support them if you can. Every little bit helps! And thank you, 11bgrunt, for your service. It has not gone unnoticed, or unappreciated.

Who needs an assault rifle to hunt with. they are made to kill people with.

I don't need an Assault rifle to hunt with, but it is nice to have to protect my family. Or as the 2nd amendment was made to protect the American People from their own Government or any other government that would like to cause us harm. Please stop being a fool and thinking that their will never be a day that you need that weapon. And most of us hope and pray we never see that day, but if we do we need to be ready.

Well I fear, and may just be my PTSD but with certain States trying to get petitions to secede from the Union that we look weak to our enemies and terrorist, this opens a door for an already welcome mat at our borders, I fear the Commander in Chief will try to implement all he can do to take away our rights and not just our 2nd Ammendments but other "Birth Given Rights" it will be a slow process as the storm brews, but this once Great Nation is in turmoil and certain groups are ignorant or just don't care enough to see whats going on.....
