Chemo and radiation start this coming Monday. 5 weeks of chemo and 5 and a half weeks of radiation will shrink this thing to almost nothing. Then a 4 week break. Then surgery to remove whats left. Then I will be cancer free. I am a lucky man and will find a way to pay this forward. Thanks Bill,Scott, Paul, and Matt for the prayers and support. |

Thanks again guys. It means a lot. Paul, Tommy (my youngest) only hunts a few times a year. He's killed 3 deer over is young career. My oldest, Kenny, (you never met him, you met Phil and Tommy at SGT. Bill's) hunted last year and took a young un. His first time hunting with me in 5 years. Of course Phil was in love with the outdoors before he died. None of us have hunted deer this year. I haven't because of the cancer, and the boys haven't because I haven't. |

Still hanging n there. Chemo is all it's cracked up to be. Haven't been able to keep anything down for 3 days because of it, so now I'm dehydrated. gonna put an IV into tomorrow. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. |

Paul, thats the 3rd one, right? Ya got pics of the other two?? I still don't think I'm gonna be able to hunt this year. But we were hit so hard by EHD if there is a year to miss, this would be a good one. I did manage to get out during the early antlerless season in September for 1 morning hunt. That was before this illness was diagnosed. I saw 2 bucks of course, and 1 doe snuck through on me and I got no shot. And I did kill a fall turkey Oct 2nd. Haven't been hunting since. But there is next year, and I'm thankful that I will have a chance at it. |

Thanks CG. Had blood work done, saw the chemo Doc, Did my 2nd round of chemo(only 3 more to go), and started my 2nd week of radiation today( only 22 more radiation treatments to go). Doc said everything is looking real good. Go to U of M tomorrow to consult with the surgeon and find when thats gonna happen, then back home for radiation. This thing is curable, and I'm gonna beat it. |
