...by voting NO on 2!

The damn unions can keep thier asses out of our state's constitution!

All the yes on 2 signs I've seen are either in front of union headquarters, and usually next to an obama sign.

I'M not a big fan of unions myself how ever I believe in safe working conditions , I believe in keeping the public safe from criminals and believe in keeping those criminals in prison were they belong . under the current administration and appointed director of the mdoc have put its employees at risk due to policies they have put in place here in the eastern UP We have three escape attempts in the 5 years. policies have put you, myself and whole lot others in danger. the officers working inside these prisons put their lives on the line everyday work ,their geven the responabilty keeping the public safe, theimselves, other prisoners. they can not do this effectivly when positions are cut , employees binfits are continuesly being cut , it,s important that they have tools most of the officers I speak with are not seeking higher wages they seek to keep benifits such affordable health care for thier families they seek tools to help keep thiemselves and you the public safe the road the adminstration is taking conditions are worsing. Again not pro union I simply support fair ans safe working conditions for employees and the safety of the public. If the state govenment don't recongize they dangers they place on the public and it's employees then they need the tools make the state to make better policies and this why seek the publics help in passing proposal 2.

Collective bargaining has nothing to do with policy or the tools and manpower it takes to ensure a safe workplace...if anything it impedes it.
The right to collective bargaining is still protected in Michigan and has been for a long time.
The bottom line is the unions know that the state of things nowadays is making it imperitive to reduce manpower and services throughout the workforce and by having thier particular agendas written into our state's constitiution they are gauranteed future dues and considerations.

what you may not know employees of the MDOC do not have Collective Bargaining Rights and having theses rights will  have an impact on policies that are put in place and will have an impact on the safty of the public and safty of those who fight crime on the inside.

What you may not know is they have every right to organize, form a union , elect delegates and attempt to collectively bargain without this proposal poluting our State's constitution.

How have you been Matt? We , NYS Corrections and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, are fortunate to be unionized because with a piece of crap Governor like Coumo, it's a constant fight on Albany to keep our numbers up for safety purposes. He wants to cut us down to nothing and just let our folks get the crap beat out of them everyday, not to mention cut our wages in half. He really needs to come work with folks for a week and get a "true" perspective on what he is trying to cut back. I can't speak for your situation out there because I know nothing about it, but for us it is helping thus far?

Not too bad Paul...been a while eh?

I have no problem with them being able to organize. I DO have a problem with them wanting it etched in stone in our state's constitution. It's just not needed when all our rights to unionizing and collective bargaining are gauranteed in the 1st place. I think it may be a lock to prevent us ever being a right to work state again. It's what's not being said that worries me.

I see your point, kind of a case by case basis rather than a majority.
Hope the deer hunting is serving you well.

Matt, I shot a dang spike horn on the first day and now all I see are bucks! Arggggg! I have three doe tags and can't seem to get one within range? They are smart ole gals for sure! I've seen some the past few days and when I set up on them, they just move another 80 yards. Tommorrow I have a full scale ground assault planned inside some hemlocks!

Hang in there guys, the fun is just beginning with Obooba!

Everything went as planned on the ground assault, with one exception, I hit her to far forward. I gotta stop trying to hit the heart and just punch the lungs. I checked the spot where I hit her, blood all over so I went home and came back 3 hours later. I tracked her for 3 more hours until she crossed into a thick swamp that I'm not allowed in. I can't believe she went that far because of the blood loss? I never had to get on my hands and knees to follow her trail either. I didn't even hunt today, I feel bad about that doe? But, I'm seeing lots of bucks so maybe I'll just hang up the bow and wait till rifle this Saturday? Don't want to spook them too early. We aren't even in the rut yet?
