Hear good thing about the upper end Bushnell's now-a-days !

Love the concept of "rainguard" !

I have three Bushnell Eliltes now. I purchased my first one a few years ago and really like them. I have hunted in hard rain and snow and it has performed without a hitch and the rainguard is great! I have had other major brands that just don't perform well under adverse conditions and that is why I tried out the Bushnell elite scopes.

I would also suggest you checkout http://www.hi-luxoptics.com as they offer some great scopes for long range shooting and the prices are close and I beleiev a little cheaper than the scoep you mention. The Hi-Lux/Leatherwood scopes take any guessing out fot he equation as they have built in Auto Ranging/Trajectory features. The Hi-Lux/Leatherwood scopes are still in use by some untis of oue military today as they were intitially built for snipers in Vietnema Republic of war. The Bushnell's are great scope and I have one mounted on mt custom .44 mag handgun but with the ones I suggest there is no need for a range finder nor trying to figure out bullet drop. Just my opinion and nothing more nor less.

65swede I would suggest either the ART 1000 or the ART 1200 as these 2 models are just what you would need for the long range shooting. Once you get the scope mounted and sighted in with youe ammo it is as simple as aim, frame, and shoot so you can get off a quick shot if the animal is moving away from you. My next planned scope is the ART 1200. These scopes are not anywhere near as hard to understand and use as some declare. If you can read and comprehend the instructions you will find these scope takes all the figuring out of the equation.
