< still crying at being called a democrat, thought it was obvious I was joking ... rt I know I could increase my points with facebook and twitter and joing NAFC and the handyman and cooking clubs and upgrading to life members in all 4 but that would require effort!

Just link all of Joe's accounts to yours!  Actually just do as Joe said, and complete each club's profile, and get those extra 5 points for each one.  Besides, some of their products are pretty good items.

Depends on your particular state and county you live in? Mine was 6 months, and that is actually a short period of time for us in NY.

Move to a "shall issue" county and it is faster, "may issue" could take a while. At least that is how it was here.

Two weeks, back when I first got mine about 8 years ago. It might take longer considering the higher numbers of people applying these days. SC's counties are all the same, since it's up to the SC Law Enforcement Division to issue the CCP.

Damn, I just realized, I got mine back in 2001, so, it's been 12 years ago, and I have to renew it in December.

Very dissapointed with NAHC field tester program. In over a decade (maybe 2) of membership I've only got 2 things to test, both of which would cost under $5 each. I guess Bill Miller and the others who made money creating NAHC have been getting all the good stuff. Now they tell me that it's handled through a third party site. The off-site is nearly impossible to negotiate. Once again, I guess it's too muich work to keep up with those of us who were dumb enough to pay money for this club. At least the magazine is good.
