I hunted 6b last year, lots of bulls there. The best advice I can give you is hunt high, Stay ontop of the ridges, but don't silowet yourself and watch the wind. At first daylight the bulls will be heading for the draws, where they can stay out of the sun and in cover. If its real cold hunt the south facing hillsides, BUT WATCH THE WIND.... late season means that the elk are on edge and will bolt at the first sign of danger.
Good luck.
First off, thanks so much for your responce. I really appreciate it. I was thinking of hunting the area by Red Hill (538 road) and maybe Railroad Draw(871 road). Were you hunting bulls last year? What area did you try? If you dont mind me asking.
