agreed Erv but it happens all the time. Threads morph.

But yeah, what are the results of the fund raising so far?

Lol, no worries. Every thread needs a little "side trip" every now and then :-)
The fundraiser went good. I didn't raise as much as I had hoped but this is one of those that I would always wish there was more that I could do. He is such a delightful kid. Hunter is doing ok, he got to spend Thanksgiving at home with his family so that was good. He is a trooper. :-)
Eddie, I give Brian a hug every time I see him. We graduated high school in the same class, after which he went off and joined the marines. He is home now, and he and his wife (a school teacher) just found out that their first baby is going to be a girl. A couple months ago Brian was doing a fundraiser to help another local, Chaz, with cancer and called me. He did a gun raffle and wanted to have a BBQ so there were witnesses to the drawing. I catered it and we turned it into another money maker for Chaz. Brian is a great guy, and one that I am proud to call a friend :-)
I would like to say thanks again to those who put blind faith into this and were able to help. You guys are really amazing!!

Oh, and on a side note I am a Manning fan through and through ;-) Payton more so than Eli, hard to say that I am going to cheer for the Broncos but I am leaning that way ;-)

Steve, that is crazy. I just logged on to report this Hunter passed away last night. He took a turn for the worse a bit before Christmas and couldn't come back from it. They did an interview with him a little while ago, when i am on a computer instead of my phone i will post a link. He was a very courageous young man. Way beyond his years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family today. Thank you to those who supported and/or cared.

Don't know Cara. Something just hit me today and I had to ask.

I'm so sorry for his passing and my condolences to his entire family. So sad.

Is there anywhere I can send a card or make a donation in his memory? Please let me know.

I am not sure if this is going to work. If for some reason it doesn't you can go to Yourstreet.com and in the green box in the right corner run a search on Living with cancer. It will bring up "Living wtih cancer without his mother" It tells more about him and his family, it also has an interview with Hunter himself. There is a place to pledge to help out financially for those who choose. I do not know much about this or if the site will stay up now that he has passed on.
Thanks again for everybodies support and concern! It does mean a lot.

It works. Thanks. If that doesn't make you tear up you've got no heart! Wow. He was smart beyond his years. Also a good football analyst... anyone who likes the Steelers is ok by me ;-)

Such a shame and thank you for sharing Cara.

Cara, I went to that site and tried the search.  The search box won't allow a phrase that long so I just entered
Living with cancer

And it turned up nothing?   Probably 'cause I didn't join?

Thanks Steve! I can't log in anymore either. They might have discontinued the fundraiser fun to his death
