back surgery went well, am walking kind of like a turtle---4 weeks since surgery----fused 4 vertabrae, 3 new disks and 2 rods along with attaching hardware, 7 hours on table, Already feeling better than before surgery----may get to use crossbow by end of Oct or early Nov.   now doing 2 hours at work daily.

How's the rehab going? I had two vertabrae fused, and one new disc when I had mine (L3 and L4) done in April of 2008, and the Doctor wouldn't let me shoot a gun until July.........of course I'd also had open heart surgery in Feb. prior to the back surgery, so that may have had something to do with it. I don't know about your situation, but the rehab was worse than the surgery, in both cases! Anyhow, good luck and glad to hear you are back up and around!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep ! Glad to hear you're doing better now. You are now an official member of the " Gimps R Us " club my friend. To this point I've had 4 with the obligatory metal plates, screws, and wire. Just now getting over my right shoulder being repaired and it is more of a pain literally and I am having to practice a lot more shooting left handed ( I always shoot some when at the range left handed ) and it is paying off as I had to move the zero a little but otherwise I am putting 3 shots inside an inch at 100 yards. The rehab for the back for me was just basically walking as much as possible each day but this damn shoulder is painful anytime especially trying to sleep as I usually sleep on one side or the other since the last ( Aug 2010 ) back surgery. You get well and whatever you do DO NOT LIFT ANYTHING HEAVIER than your third leg while in the bathroom !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad your doing well! I had L3/4 and 4/5 done in April. Mixed feelings about it, Between the limp i was left with after 3 left knee surgeries in '08 and'09 and the pressure from the fusion I had to try shots in my SI joint. The pain from here is way worse than I was in before the fusion and the shots did no good so I am now looking at one or two surgeries to fuse the SI joint. Gonna wait till Feb. though and just hope I can stand to sit long enough to get my freezer full. Anyway good luck to all and hope ya'll have a great season.
