Hey Chaser, I'm sitting here at work watching bull riders and noticed a few are wearing helmets. Have you any experience with that sort of thing'flat head'? Hah! That was funny.....................

There were a lot of times I should have worn a helmet, but you can't hurt what you don't have. Lol.

Sat out in the rain hunting yesterday. Saw two doe and one buck. Drew back on doe but she did not present a shot. The buck to small. Sitting in house today with a severe sore throat. Who says I ain't smart?

I went out last night at 4 pm, set up in a new area with my climber waiting on a doe, one shows up running in and busts me big time at 10 yards! Two 8pts follow her and offer me a shot at either buck, 20 yards!!!!!!!! I can't shoot a buck!!!! WHY WHY WHY do the deer gods hate me?!!!!!!!

At least you saw something.  My brother and I went out yesterday a.m. and never saw a single snout, tail or rack.  Looks like they're moving late afternoon, which sucks for me weekdays due to what time I get home.

Jason, its not your fault. You had your head stomped on, we knew your life had changed after that when you woke up that morning with make up.....hah! Paul, you ain't the only one. I finally saw deer last wkend, a doe with her 2 button bucks. I would've gladly shot the doe but we were leaving as soon as I got back in and wouldn't have time to process her. Now if Mr Big would've showed we would've made time. Colleen, Amy is still waiting to see snouts,tails and racks. Its been 3 weeks for her. She slept in the morning I saw the doe...........snooze and lose!

I'm just hoping the weather cooperates this weekend.  Calling for rain showers.  I'm hoping it isn't going to be in the afternoons.

Yep, they're locked down tight.  Spent the weekend preparing for this{1}***** Sandy.  Bring her on!!!

However, it is raising hell with one of my big annual events that takes place Oct. 31 - Nov. 2nd.  We're going to see what happens late afternoon, tonight and tomorrow morning.  We might have to cancel it for this year.  Half the schools are flying in and coming through either Philly or Newark.  Others are driving up and some are from NYC.  Time will tell.................at least it isn't snow.

Well, both our flights were cancelled tonight. 60kt gusts. The air crews weren't very comfortable with trying to fly around in this stuff. I can't imagine what it was like where you are. You should be okay this wkend.

We are all fine here. There's quite a few folks without power but that seems to be the worst of it. Now, down on the coastline, well that's a whole different story?

Well finally got me a doe. Seems the deer were moving really good on Saturday. Must have been moving prior to the storm. Saw a bunch of deer that day and had a doe give me a 20 yard shot. Pulled the shot a little but venison was found after a 150 yd track job that could have been followed by anyone without a problem. Got her skinned and halved that night and chunked on Sunday. Ready to make some bologna and jerky and maybe some summer sausage. I shot her for the bologna thought hats for sure. Hope all are well after the storm and hope all get some venison down as well. We will see how my buck hunting fairs in southern Ohio when I make that trip.
