Has anyone seen this thing? I was just reading the "American Rifleman" magazine. And toward the back of the magazine. There was an add or short article about this thing. It is great. It didn't say how much it cost. But, what a great idea. I wish I had come up with it. Its a wheelchair with tracks that runs off of two car batteries. Just think. Any handicapped person confined to a wheelchair can get himself,or herself to a blind or any place they want to go without having to depend on someone else to push them around. It looks as though the ride would be a bunch smoother than a conventional wheelchair. That thing looks absolutely awesome. Talk about renewed independance. |

I do not know about this conversion , however in Ky you can get set up to hunt off of your ATV, UTV, or your vehicle.....that is what I have done . I am even allowed to use a cross bow in regular bow season , due to my left arm being crippled too.... |

There is one called the Action Trackchair that looks pretty interesting---it is not a converstion but a specialty built item. Didn't look at any of the other things, don't need them and hope I never do, but they will sure benefit some people. |

Thats what I was looking at in the American Rifleman magazine. It was a specially built chair. Not a conversion. It doesn't look like it would be top heavy. It looks like most of the weight is down low. |

I am finishing a fund raising effort to purchase one of these Trackchairs for our local Hudson, Wi Rod & Gun Club, we will set up an enclosed trailer for it so we can let disabled people in our area use it free of charge for 3-4 days at a time for outdoor activities. We feel this will be a real great machine for people to use so they can get off the beaten path. I envision it being used even at a local game farm for someone to be able to even do some pheasant hunting with it. Of course getting to turkey and deer blinds will be one of the main uses. I hope other communities will see this once we get it purchased and perhaps also do the same. |

I googled it and came up with this link http://www.actiontrackchair.com/Inq...Chair.aspx For the action trackchair looks like they are about $10K and up depending on accessories. They also have one that allows "standing" they are in the $15K range. Looks like the chair flattens out pushing the rider up to a standing position. I saw the chair on Tred Barta's show. His picture is on the site, so I guess this is the one that he has. jack |

I've seen this in a video (Not sure of the make) on a 6X6 webclub that I belong to some time ago. It is very cool and gets around the rough terrain quite well. If webby allows, here is the link 6x6world.com . Just go there ant type in wheelchair in the search window and it will direct you a/some videos. |
