Well the state wide season began today and for me this morning had a 4 pt. and 5 doe in range , let the doe pass as I wait for early muzzle loader season for that tag . The weird thing is though all the doe were single mature to big old gals and I saw no little ones . I can see one or maybe two , but five ? My brother found a dead yearling near his stand that wasn't there on Thurs.

That is very odd MRD. I saw one mature doe this year without any youngsters and she came from way over across the valley, across a stream and over to my side of thie hill - easily a couple hundred yards. I thought that was very strange because I always thought their young are usually stashed somewhere close when they bedded down. And that was around mid-day too. Weird.

Was the yearling your bro found hit with an arrow, or were there any signs of how it died?
