Compressed powder charges pushing the bullets out?

I would go back to basics. First check the COAL of the rounds that won't chamber. If that's not it check the chamber. Sometimes we miss something obvious, I know I do sometimes.

The only thing I can think about now is the powder swelled, but I don't think it could make the case swell. Have you disassembled a round to see if the powder colum has changed due to moisture?

i have run into some of the same problems where i reloaded several boxes of rifle ammo and had several that didnt chamber after they were reloaded, but the others from the same reloading session chambered fine. never could explain why i had the trouble. i reload every round by hand and checked the COAL and everything else to try and solve the problem to no avail. if anyone has the solution i would love to know what causes this.

Could it be that you are trying to crimp a bit too much? This would shove the brass back, causeing slight swelling in the shoulder and or body of the cartridge.

the ones the i tried to chamber were bent
Why and where were they bent?  Did you trim your brass after resizing them?

SUGGESTION: Resize a case ONLY and try and chamber it. Then measure it.

If it does NOT chamber properly, you have a die problem.

If it does chamber OK, then load it with a BULLET ONLY (NO powder or primer. Measure LOA.

See if it chambers OK. If it DOES, try a loaded round. OK?

NOT OK? check primer seating depth. Extract the cartridge

l with bullet and see if rifling marks are on the bullet. If they are, bullet should be seated a bit deeper.

Only other thing to check would be neck thickness AFTER bullet seating.

the bullet itself appeared to be bent......after going back checking everything again still no avail second batch chambered fine with new brass after they were fired resized chambered fine loaded chambered fine after 3 days of sitting in the house 17 out of 20 again wouldn't chamber have no rhyme or reason for it no land marks on the bullet solutuion traded the gun for a browning abolt in 260 remington
