Congrats on the nice Bear, whats the details ?

Details? Ok there i was smeared in motor oil, no wait wrong details. So i walked down this old fire break road. I heard a russle in the brush and stood still. The wind was blowing in the right direction. I couldn't see what it was but i knew it was a big animal. Just as it was moving around i could see a little black and knew it was a bear. He couldn't smell me and kept moving in the brush. All of a sudden he stood up about 30-40 feet away.He looked at me as if to say" what are you doing out here". I took the shot through the neck. He dropped and let out a cry. He was still alive and moving. Rolling around and then he made a break for it. He ran straight across the trail. I was ready and fired my second shot right through the shoulder and dropped him in his tracks. I just shot a 250 pound bear and i was a mile from my truck. It took me near 3 hours to get out of the woods.

congrats. Shooting a black bear is an awesome trophy. They are smarter than most game and getting to actually harvest a bear is a great accomplishment.
