Creamer the albino skunk has caused quite a stir in Nova Scotia. He visits several front lawns and all the neighborhood cats leave him alone. Hope you enjoy this short video I took of him.

Cool.   Beautiful animal!  But it looks like it has dark eyes vs pink.   So is it a true albino or is it akin to the white bear cub I took pictures of that had black eyes. I forget what it was called, but not an albino.

Your right Steve...a truly good looking animal....hmmm...errr..aint skunks nocturnal though?.....im not trying to rain on this animals parade or anything..but i was always taught that if you saw a skunk out in the day it would probably have rabbis...im not saying thats true its just something down here in southeast Texas..that ive always heard...we do have a large pop. of rabid skunks each year...just asking...

Yeah, same here mwalton I just didn't wanna say it. It didn't appear to be showing rabid behavior though from the video.

Actually, skunks make VERY nice pets.... IF you get them young and have them de-scented. The love to lay in your lap and be pet. Talk about a silky coat! But I give wild ones a WIDE berth.

Yeah Steve so do i, albino or otherwise...makes me wonder though.. how you catch them whan they are young and not get sprayed by the kids or the momma...would be nice to have as a pet but not really sure i wanna test ways to apprhend them..lol..i guess im a chicken..kinda like noodling i guess...stick your hand in and hope theres nothing in there that will eat you lmao

Creamer appears just at dusk ( if we see him) and moves into the woods just after daylight. Often, I get up at night and see him digging up my front lawn. Sometimes he is there feeding all night. A cat walked by him and there was no interaction. I have been within a few feet of him and he just keeps digging although he raises his head every now and then when a noise distracts him. Here is this morning's video clip. The longer one was taken in dim light and won't upload because of its length.

If it's digging up your lawn you may have grubs. If you do, that's a real problem. You'll eventually end up with zero grass.

Yeah HARVESTER...thats great.. i would hate to see a great looking animal like that get put down...I wasnt trying to upset anybody was just stating about rabbis is all..be cool
