Its quarter to 6 and I'm getting ready to take Mrs Gutpile to the hospital. This is a planned surgery to put in a device for veinous access in case in the future she needs to go on dialysis. We're hoping to find a donor kidney before that happens.

Sorry to hear about your wife. Prayers will be going out. My father had kidney failure years ago and had to go on dialysis for a while. My father’s younger brother was a perfect match to be a donor, and so he donated one of his kidneys to my dad. My dad as he got older had a lot of other medical problems, but never any thing to do with the kidney, it always worked great.

1PM we're home. The Missus came through it fine. They did have some problems getting the IV drip started and made a pin cushion out of her. They even tried putting it in her big toe!!! She's a bit sore but the Loratab she just took should cure that. She's now up napping. What they do is go into the arm and connect a vein to an artery. In six weeks she goes back for another surgery this time to move the blood vessels out of the deep tissue closer to the skin. So your prayers worked. Thanks all.

Sorry, didn't see this until just now. Glad that things went well, excluding the IV... I'll be praying for a donor for her.
