TGJ, is your IR cam malfunctioning?

In the initial pic I had a heck of a time picking that wolf out.

That picture came out without color and all 400 others were fine. How did you get that to post. Thanks by the way.
PS over on 24hourcampfire we had a go at if that was a wolf or coyote.

TGJ, when I first started posting here in 2008 I had no problem posting pics from photobucket to this site using this sites tools. As they've "upgraded" the site they've actually made it harder to post pic here from anywhere. I finally just gave up on trying to use this sites tools.

Instead I post them in the test forum at www.huntingnet.com, it's a free hunting site. I don't actually post the pics there. I make the post, then preview the pics before submitting the post.   I copy them from there, and paste them here.

I use the IMG link from photobucket to post them at huntingnet. IMHO, from all the pics I see get posted here, using the method I just described makes the best pics that I've seen so far.

Here's a couple of my wolf pics for comparison, that's a wolf in your pic.

Yotes have more fox like facial features.

Yotes also have a more fox like tail that will look bushier than a wolves tail, and finally the relative size of the animal in your pic clearly indicates wolf to me, a yote would be half that size.

Not a problem TGJ. It seems like a bit of effort at first, but once you've done it a few times it goes pretty smoothly. I always bring up all three sites at once so it's easier to jump from one to the next.

And like I said, I believe that using that method gives you the best pics on this site, the pic fills the whole screen.

BTW, the final tell for me on the wolf in your pic was the size of the ears in relation to the head. A yotes ears usually appear large in relation to the head, whereas a wolves ears will look small in relation to the head.

No bucks this week.   On reflection that is not uncommon just before the start of riffle season.  What normally happens is a good size buck will come by on Friday before opener and feed on the green grass on the mound then not be seen until December.

Only buck this week was the spike. I will need to move the cam from the salt lick to the green grass on the mound until the bucks start needing their minerals in the spring.

Not much activity at the salt block.  This is the only buck I have pictures of for the last couple of weeks.

This guy is still hanging around, I've noticed that the spike that was hanging around all Summer has been awol since this 7pointer showed up. I'm guessing that he ran the spike off. I figure he's 2 1/2 years old.
